“Does success require hard work?” is a great question. Now I’m going to give you
two answers. First of all, we have in our culture this puritanical work ethic that nothing
of value should come without hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. But when you move into other
energy systems where energy flows and things happen effortlessly and easily because you
are doing and you are locked into a great strategy, a great way of achieving things,
then it’s not hard work. In fact for some of my clients, I tell them “If it feels
hard then you are not locked into a new groove, you’re not in alignment with what you want.
There’s something, could be small or large, but there’s something out of alignment when
you feel like you are working hard to get what you want.” Because the second answer
I will give you is if you are doing what you want if you’re in that fun little 4 year
psychology of “I want to be successful, I’m going to have this,” then it’s not
hard work. Even though people looking outside-in say, “That looks like hard work to me,”
you get to say, “Heck no! I’m having fun! This is joy, this is excitement, it’s not
even work. I love putting in these long hours, I love putting in this sweat and blood and
this toil to get here because it’s so exciting to be me! It’s exciting to get closer to
my goals, my dreams, my destiny!” So oftentimes when we study rules of success and people
say it’s hard work, looks like hard work, or it has to be hard to get there, I’m almost
going to ensure you that they are not in alignment with their greatness. Because when you feel,
and read about, and study great men and women it’s never about hard. It’s about the
destiny, success, and the excitement of accomplishing their dreams.
