I'm going to do a little demonstration video, my first one, on how I am making chia seed
and honey capsules.
So I bought some chia seeds in bulk down at a local store and I bought some
honey in bulk, too, at a local store. Honey's supposed to be good for endurance, and chia
seeds are a superfood and I read about them in Born to Run. And I thought those might
be good to combine together so I can try to avoid gels and gus.
And I also bought a package of gel capsules that you can break apart; they're totally
digestible. So, I already broke a couple apart.
And then so I take the bottom part, dip it into a little bowl that I filled with the
seeds so it's just kind of easier to get in there and get them. And so I filled it how
I want, and this is kind of the slow part of waiting for the honey to come down.
But I've tried a few and they're really quite good, I think. I've seen some people's reactions
when they eat gels and gus, and it does not turn me on to trying them at all, so I thought
maybe something natural would suit me better.
So that is what you do. Then you put the cap on it, you kind of squeeze it; you can hear
a little snap as it goes together a bit. And then it's in my bag of chia seeds and honey
capsules, for my long runs and just maybe little energy boosters when I want them and
something sweet. So that's what I'm up to.
