Hello, I'm Analaura.
I'm 18 years old and I'm from Uruguay.
I study communication science
and also study English and Korean.
You may be asking yourselves why 차?
Well 차 has nothing to do with cars or tea
is just an acronym for "Culture, History and Architecture".
About a year ago I decided to study an Asian language
because I really like the languages that have an alphabet of their own
and while I was searching I found Korean.
It really called my attention and was enchanted by the way it sounds and the looks of the lyrics.
My interest grew more and more and while studying I started to listen to k-pop and watching dramas
I saw many things that called my attention so I decided to investigate more about their culture. In that moment I fell in love with this country.
The Korean culture surprised me in many ways because is very different from Uruguayan culture...
The consideration, respect and kindness that they have between them and towards those who are older really called my attention because we are not used to that.
The festivities, the gastronomy, the educational system, the art, the music...
Everything is so different of what I am used to. I was instantly hooked.
The historical background is another thing that called my attention.
After reading Korean history, about all the things that the Korean people had to face throughout their search for independence and after it,
this fills me with something pretty close to pride towards this nation.
They are heroes from my point of view.
I remember that once a Korean friend told me that the citizens gave their gold to the government
as to prompt the economy that had gone broke after an economical crisis.
Last but not least is their architecture
I like the traditional architecture as well as the avant-garde and I and love the way
the ancient palaces and modern buildings coexist in the city
:past, present and future giving it a special touch, making it magical.
You can see everything in one place.
I think this is great for another motive too
:This It allows Koreans to remember their origin in order to plan a better future.
