Hello In this video tutorial I will show you how to create 3D E-book Covers with Photoshop.
For the purpose I will use already created layers and Photoshop Auctions scripts.
This is my front layer.
This is my side layer.
Photoshop actions can be found here.
I’ll use this one to create the E-book cover.
If you haven’t used Photoshop actions before, they are already created templates whose actions are performed automatically.
Now let’s open the template.
I will copy the front and side layers into the e-book cover template and will resize them to fit the borders of the template.
We continue with step two - the render.
Here you can see all the actions which are performed so we can get the final result – out 3d e-book cover.
Now we just press the play button and wait until all actions are ready.
This is our finished 3D e-book cover.
You can see the rounded corners, the back cover, the pages and the cool shadow below the e-book.
Let me show you another 3D e-book cover template.
I will repeat the steps in the previous example and will use the same layers to make it easier.
As you can see this template is different and have 3 sections – the spine, the cover and the inside cover.
I copy and paste the front layer into the template and resize it to fit the borders of the sections.
It is important your layers to be on the top so you don’t see any text when rendering.
Our work is done and now we just have to render the template from the Photoshop Actions menu.
This template takes a little more time because there are more actions to be performed but the waiting is worth it.
This is my favorite template.
As you can see the e-book cover contains all little details which make it look very professional and cool.
You can merge the layers and transform the cover to change the angel and fit it to your needs if you want.
