Hi i'm David Cantor with the Law Offices of David Michael Cantor.
Today I'm going to talk about
Gilbert city arrest for DUI or for criminal cases.
When I say Gilbert City arrest or City Court, what I'm referring to is an
arrest by a Gilbert City police officer,
not Sheriff's Office, not DPS, that goes to a different jurisdiction.
If you're arrested for DUI or criminal case in the city of Gilbert,
they'll take you to two police stations, either the main precinct
at 75 East Civic Center Drive which is basically at
Gilbert and Warner, or to the San Tan substation which is at Queen Creek
and Adams Avenue that's a 2332 East Queen Creek Road. Now
if you're taken thehere, for DUI most likely they'll draw your blood,
or if they take you to a DUI van that's on the road, they'll draw your blood there.
Either way they're gonna give you ticket to the Gilbert City Court upon your
release.
That ticket will tell you to go to 55 East Civic Center Drive,
suite 101, which is Gilbert Road and Warner,
over by the main station. If you go there, there's free parking out front so
not to worry about parking.
Make sure you dress appropriately, no baseball hat, sunglasses,
no flip-flops, or
shorts, or tank tops, things of that nature. Once you go in
you're gonna be dealing with basically four judges and what's called a pro-tem judge
or part time judge.
These judges are John Hudson who's a presiding judge, he's in courtroom 5.
Good guy like dealing with John. Jim Dunham or James Dunham is in courtroom
six, Jim and I prosecuted together
in the City of Phoenix he's a really good guy, I think he's fair and I think he's
somewhat defense-oriented.
David Cutchen is in courtroom 9, and Nicole Laurin-Walker, she's in courtroom 8.
Nicole used to be a prosecutor in Gilbert and than she went over the county attorney
then she came back to Gilbert as a prosecutor, now she's a judge
and she's somewhat state oriented but she's very pleasant to deal with.
The Pro Tem judge is Kristin White, Kristins great
she used to be a prosecutor at the county attorney's office back in the day and she's another
good person to deal with. The best way to win one of these cases because
they will drag out six to nine months
and technically you're supposed to go to court every month where you'll miss work or you'll miss school
unless you have a lawyer that goes for you, you want to get the best lawyer the
one who knows the most who also knows the judges
and how the system works and that's us. So if you've been charged with a DUI or
criminal case
in the city Gilbert give us a call, we'll set an appointment, it doesn't cost
anything to meet with us but it does take about 30 minutes,
we'll go over the case with you from top to bottom and hopefully we'll find a way out of
this for you.
