ACTC Doug Good morning I'm on my way to school, it's a still not daylight yet.
I'm having fun.
I hope to get a business degree myself and probably work with one
of the major companies here in Ashland.
Kentucky power, I pass it every day, twice a day, back and forth.
Good morning Ashland Community and Technical College.
Heading to the library to meet with study group, another fun day of study, study, study.
How do you find the classes here at ACTC?
I find them challenging and very rewarding.
What do you think about the teachers here at ACTC?
They're all exceptional and they all go beyond and above the duty that is required
of them to be excellent teachers.
What have you found to be most enjoyable at ACTC?
The opportunity such as leadership KCTCS where I got to represent the college
out of 16 different colleges around the state.
What made you pursue a higher education at ACTC?
A speed bump in life, divorce, loss of job, alcoholism, AA turned me around and led me
in a direction of vocational rehab.
Studying in Central Park, one of my more favorite places
to study, beautiful place to study.
I'm here at my son's high school picking him up after track,
one of the many things I do after school.
As I've been here the school has instilled upon me a will
to have the fortitude and perseverance to succeed.
I got my graduation certificate from Leadership KCTCS.
I also won most outstanding student and I won an award for my grade point average.
What was the grade point average?
(laughs) 4.0 Now there's a place I would like to have my picture one day.
What was the highest honor you've received at ACTC so far?
The highest honor, having the opportunity to have an education.
