I'm Roy Fox and I'm 42 years old.
I'm the third generation from my family to enter the diamond trade.
As opposed to the rest of my family, I chose to go into the manufacturing sector
and not into trading, because that's what interested me.
I'm the owner of a diamond cutting factory, and my specialty is cutting fancy color diamonds.
I'm Gonen Nivron and I immigrated from the United States in 2002.
I learned diamond cutting in New York from a cutting expert.
When I arrived in Israel, I met Roy, and we established a connection pretty quickly.
I'm Moshe Herke. I've been working as a diamond cutter since 1975, and I've been working for Roy for a decade.
What is unique to cutting fancy color diamonds is that our objective is to
bring out the color of the diamonds as much as possible.
It doesn't just happen by accident.
We have to forge the diamond with maximum mass, and at the same time
to try and bring out all the color that's inside the diamond, because we want to see it.
Colored diamonds have more cuts.
The stone must bring out most of the color, for it to be evenly spread throughout the stone.
I forge the stone from a rough diamond.
I work a good deal on complicated stones, especially large and special stones.
I'm personally drawn to this occupation - it's the joy of creation.
It's not a regular job where you do the same thing every day.
Every diamond I work on is completely different, requiring different thinking.
Most stones are very sensitive, so the work is very slow and careful.
We make every effort so that the stone is finished intact, beautiful and polished.
It's a world unto itself. I live in the world of diamonds.
I dream about it at night. I think about it in the morning, and I deal with it all day.
It's my work, it's my hobby, and it's completely fulfilling.
