Hi guys. This is Max Tapper again for Howcast. What I'm gonna do today is answer this question:
do you need big weights to get big biceps? Now, that's kind of a yes and no, because
the term big weights is relative to how big your muscle is and how strong you are. But
technically, the more amount of weight you lift, the bigger your bicep will become. So
everybody's big weights are gonna be different for themselves, everybody individually, but
yes, you do need bigger weights for bigger biceps. Now, it's the same principle that
your whole body runs off of. Time under tension, and load. So the more load you put on a muscle,
the more it has to respond and get stronger to deal with it. And by getting stronger,
a lot of times, is just getting bigger. So, if you want bigger muscles, then yes, bigger
weights, bigger dumbells will result in big biceps. You got it? So guys, get out there,
pick the biggest weight you can handle, under perfect control. Very important, again, under
perfect control, but that will result in bigger biceps. So, have a good time, remember and
stay safe.
