Regardless if it's a low-level drug case or a high-level drug case, the methodology is
the same. You still have to attack the police, the way they obtain the drugs, the way they
obtain a search warrant, the way the arrest was made. If there is any confessions that
are made, how were those confessions given. Were they legaly applicable in your case.
Can I supress the confession, can I supress the
evidence. We really have to focus on the investigation itself. Because guess what? If that investigation
was done improperly there is likely that your case is going to get dismissed.
If you are convicted of a crime, first of all you get a conviction on your record
that you never be able to erase. It stays with you for the rest of your life and it
hunts you in so many ways not only as a criminal conviction, it's going to impact you on a
small things you might not even think about. Like life insurance, getting housing, your
credit rating. It is so far reaching that if you don't take care of that criminal case
at the outset, there is nothing you going be able to do
in the future to get it off your record. But luckely there are programs to ask for that
allow the case to be dismissed and most importantly to get it off your record. That's why you
need an experienced drug attorney like myself.
