Hello, you are watching a demonstration video for my Camtasia studio Caption Extractor,
and a tutorial how to get proper subtitles on YouTube.
Just produce your video as usual, using custom settings.
Pick the FLV option.
Now what I also like to do is put the dimensions on high definition.
This step isn't really necessary, but I like my videos in high definition.
Now go to flash options, and make sure your format is on FLV.
This works best for YouTube, and will produce a relatively small file without embedded subtitles.
Now I will show you what my Caption Extractor is, and how to use it.
First, just open the program, and press the Load project button, (or alt+L).
Next select your .camproj file.
You will see the created subtitles in the preview window below.
Now you can save them, (also by pressing alt+s).
See, the file is created. Let's open it with a text editor.
As you can see, the subtitles are created.
I'll delete this file to show you something even easier.
Noticed there was a “Add to context menu button”? Let's enable that.
Now you can close the program.
Now if you right click a project file, you can see there is a new option in your menu
bar
When you pick that option, it will automatically create a sub title file for you.
Now you can go to Youtube, and see if it works.
Upload your caption file to Youtube.
Now when I play the Youtube video, you can see the subtitles are there.
If you look at the menu, you can see my video is available in 1080P high definition,
And there is an option to turn the subtitles on and off.
