I've always loved to dance, since I was eight years old.
I'd rather be dancing than walking.
Well I started hurting on the dance floor is what happened.
My husband and I had been ballroom dancing
so they took an X-Ray and they said oh yeah,
you've got a problem with your hip.
So I had a replacement and I then had to wait
about four to six months before I could go back to dance
because it takes that long to heal.
But it was great, I mean I went right back into dancing
no problem at all and I haven't had any problem since
so they did a good job.
I think the best advice I can give to anybody
is just keep active.
It keeps your mind active that's the important thing.
If you sit, you know it's okay to sit down and play cards
or watch TV but get up, get up and go do something.
Get out and walk, get out and swim
play tennis, play golf.
Whatever you like to do but just get up and do it.
It's very important that you keep your body active
because that keeps your mind active and if you keep
your mind active you're going to win.
