When a citizen is accused of a criminal offense,
I think they suddenly feel very much alone.
The power and unlimited resources of the state or the federal government
in startling fashion
is unleashed against them.
They don't just want to know the law,
elements of the offense, or even the punishments that could be arrayed
against them.
They want to know that the attorney that they employ is willing to fight for them
and see that justice is done.
They also want to know
that their attorney will see that they get fair treatment.
I have the experience in history of fighting to protect the rights of the accused.
