These flutter kicks were a staple of my gymnastics training for more than two decades. Core work
was absoultely critical in the gym and it’s
critical to maintaining good posture and strength in our
everyday lives as well. So with this move, your going
to lie on back with legs straight and arms by your side.
Your going to engage that core, squeeze your upper and
lower abs. And just flutter your legs up and down without
touching the floor. Now this is a great move, you want
to make sure that you find your rhythm and stick with
it.
You don't want to be straining your neck so I like to
keep my arms down or if you want to make it a little more
difficult keep them up over your head.. Try to keep your
shoulders and neck relaxed while your core stays engaged.
Start with 24 on each side and work up to 100
