Hi I am Dr. Sullivan and we have a full service dental office with special focus on implants,
crown and bridge and dentures here in sunny Naples Florida. You know I get asked all the
time hey doctor... what is the best way to replace a missing tooth?
The first option would be to replace it with a removable appliance. Whether that is a partial
or an complete denture. They are easy to fabricate they are cost effective and I can replace
a lot of teeth in a very short period of time.
The Second option is to use crown and bridge. Crown and bridge is a very popular option
because the teeth are secured and cemented into place so they do not come out. There
is no need to use any glues to help hold them in. They are made out of porcelain so I can
match the color of porcelain to the rest of your natural teeth and because they are made
out of porcelain they are strong.
The third option is to use dental implant, dental implants is probably the most conservative
option to choose, because it does not involve preparing or cutting down any natural teeth.
Because it is made out of surgical titanium there is no need to worry about decay, no
need to worry about periodontal decease and they are incredibly strong. A dental implant
can be use to secure not only a single tooth but it can be used to secure partial dentures
or even complete dentures. There are special little snaps that can be placed in a denture
to help hook it to a dental implant.
If you find yourself missing teeth I urge you to call my office to set up a private
consultation so that we can help you make the best choice, thank you.
