In June it was E3, and we asked the two of you to appear in a developer discussion.
That's right.
Until now, the games have been released later overseas, so people overseas
always received them after they were first released in Japan. But this time,
new, never revealed information on the upcoming Pokémon games was being addressed
directly to them. It really came across to me how excited the overseas game fans were.
Having participated, what were your impressions?
Well, the fans gathered there really like Pokémon.
Of course, a few were actually working on the game, but I really did sense enthusiasm.
When we, and especially Masuda-san, talked about the new, latest information,
I sensed a very strong response.
The world's first reveals about the games were being directed to them.
You could really tell that they were excited to be there. What about you, Masuda-san?
It's something we really wanted to do when releasing the games simultaneously around the world.
Until now, Pokémon that no one had ever seen before were always revealed in Japan first.
When the time had come to make reveals to people overseas, we thought this place was perfect.
We wanted to show as much as possible, and we also wanted to show new things.
We could also show what the games are actually like to play too,
and show them what they're like. So they were pretty excited, which I think was great.
