Hi this is Mike Ang, Founder of Brilliance University.com
Now, we all know him.
His name is Michael Phelps.
He is the greatest Olympian ever raised up in recent times.
Now in terms of Olympic Gold Medals,
he has the most.
In spite of his
human imperfections,
he has a brilliant blueprint in him
which has helped him to make a very quick comeback recently(2012)
Let us examine
his consistent brilliance,
and that is not a mystery if you know how.
At Brilliance University.com,
We teach the Brilliance framework
and this applies to any-
one
including Michael Phelps.
Now before i start,
I would like to credit the various sources I got my facts from
The Power of Habit by Charlie Duhigg
and various webpages like Wikipedia,
Biography.com,
that enabled me to share with you all.
First of all, we all know,
he was born for it.
His father was an all round athelete
and a
state trooper.
His older sisters
were all swimmers.
Now, he definitely
inherited some sports talent
from his Dad.
And his body was made for swimming.
He has a long thin torso
and relatively short legs,
give him less drag
in the water.
His arm spans about six-feet seven-inches
which is disproportionate to
his height of six-feet four-inches
and act as long propulsive paddles.
He's got a huge
sized 14 feet-
provides the effect of flipper.
His hypermobile ankles
bend more than a ballet dancer
enabling him to whip his feet
as if they were fins
for maximum thrust through the waters.
In short,
he was born to be a great swimmer.
These are some of his competitive advantages
against other
competitors
But,
there are two points that will make the major difference that I want to
explain clearly here.
Firstly,
he,
especially his coach,
Bob Bowman,
discovered his gift.
Now listen, everybody has a gift.
Once you discovered your gift,
Your brilliance, when it's used, will shine through.
You will experience what we call,
maximum productivity
and minimum weariness.
Otherwise, it will be just the opposite:
maximum weariness
and minimum productivity.
Now let me illustrate:
all the parts of our bodies are gifts: for example, the hands are supposed to do the hand's work,
the legs are supposed to walk.
and when we do that,
we will be very brilliant in whatever we do or perform.
Even should the once great gymnast like Li Ding,
you all know,
the great gymnast,
he is very good in using his hands,
when he's performing.
But should he use his hand to walk,
He will experience,
maximum weariness
he can at most go
about fifty to a hundred feet,
and minimum productivity.
okay? You too are here for a reason.
There is something that you were made for,
and you will be the best at.
you may not have the perfect physique
for sports.
But it's in my deepest belief that
we all have our Life Purpose, Life Assignment.
We all have gifts,
to help us contribute,
to be the best,
in our life.
Have you found it yet?
If you are interested in how to find the Life Assignment,
come to my membership
Brilliance University. com
I will show you more, step by step, how to discover your Life Gift,
your Life Purpose, your Life Assignment.
There are people like Pele
He was once the
greatest
footballer ever raised up.
Remember Nadia ?
from Romania
she is the greatest lady ever
to be seen in the gymnastic arena.
Recently we have Usain Bolt,
he 's still the fastest.
Now this is just to name a few in sports, there are many who are great and
brilliant in their various fields, right?
We have Einstein,
and he shows
an impact and an imprint of his brilliance.
So you can, in your own way,
when you discover your own gift,
tell your own story.
Second Point:
Given that there are 7 billion people,
that are already in the world today.
I'm sure there are hundreds,
if not thousands of people,
who has similar, or even better gifts than
Michael Phelps.
Why did
these people like Michael Phelps
make it,
but many of us
are unable to do it?
To find out more
we have this Brilliance Framework
and this may give you some clues.
I will use the framework to explain how Michael Phelps
became so brilliant
step-by-step
and we will cover that in the next video.
So i see you again.
Bye for now
