I learned Transcendental Meditation when I was very young. I was a teenager. It was a
very emotionally confusing and difficult time in my life, and what I found with my regular
practice of TM is that inner stability, clarity, and happiness began to increase in my life,
and I began as a skeptic and after a year of meditating I was sold out because I enjoyed
the results, I needed the results, at that time in my life. It just continued to add
to my personal growth, to my inner stability, to my ability to handle all the challenges
and ups and downs, and opportunities in life. And that's why I continue meditating. Now
that I'm older and my children are grown and I'm facing the challenges that we all face
in the boomer generation of aging, I value it even more. Because, in my opinion, the
best defense against aging is a rich inner life and inner strength. And that's the reason
why I continue to value meditating now, at this time in my life.
