Well, I was at community college for two years; I went there because I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I kind of got my footing there.
I took some English classes as well as an Education class and that kind of helped me figure out that that was what I wanted to do.
I picked Loyola because I had visited it a lot and I really liked the campus. I always wanted to go to school in the city.
It’s nice to know that it is small enough that you really could meet so many new people, it feels close and tight knit and I really like that.
I automatically got a $10,000 scholarship just through my grades and everything and then I got the Loyola grant, the Pell grant and the Math grant.
Being in a private school does help; they have more funds to give.
I don’t think people realize it and I definitely think people should consider it more often when applying to colleges.
Everyone has been really great, especially in the Financial Aid office. They were so willing to help
and have so much time on their hands, it was great, I was not expecting it. It has been awesome.
People associate Loyola with being of a higher standard. I picked Loyola for that reason.
