I'm Bill Elzey with Showplace Lawns. How to buy patio furniture. Well, that is more a
case of personal taste than anything else. There are so many different types of patio
furniture. There's plastic, there's iron, there's wood, there's aluminum, there's all
sorts. And they fit everybody's personality, and that's basically, I would guess, the main
criteria for patio furniture. The other would be what type of theme or setting do you have
that you're going to put this furniture in. Will it match? Will it go with the plants,
or the house, or the deck, or where you're putting it. But there again, that's up to
you. The wood furniture is going to need to be refinished from time to time. Plastic furniture
will last a good while, but eventually the weather and the elements will take it's toll.
Aluminum is nice, but you need to be careful when you get high winds, 'cause it can blow
around, even more so than the plastic. It's pretty much a given, up to you, the person,
as to what you want it to do. If this is going to be a place that you want to spend a lot
of time, then you want something really nice. You can find good furniture at a lot of different
places. There's order houses, there's......catalog houses, excuse me. There's your home improvement
centers, there's places. All of 'em have good products. So, it comes back to what do you
want. They're all good, and they all have a purpose. So have fun with it. Search it
out really good. Look at more than one place, look at several different styles 'til you
find one that you're very comfortable with.
