is brought to you by the Oklahoma Weather Lab.
Currently, temperatures are warmest in central and southern Oklahoma, with the upper-50s

in the northwest and panhandle, where the upper-40s to low-50s are being reported.
Winds across the state are generally blowing around 10 miles per hour, from the southeast
in the southeast part of the state and from the
north in the panhandle and western part of the
state. Stronger wind speeds are being reported in the panhandle, at up to 20 miles per hour.
For the coming weekend, we’re going to see a
wide variation in temperatures. For Friday, a
slight cold front will push through the state, bringing high temperatures about 10 degrees

the 60s and even the 70s in the far southeast. But, by Sunday, this is will all change, as
an arctic blast of air will move through the
state. Locally, temperatures will remain relatively
warm Sunday midnight, but will then fall steadily until about 9 am, when the morning
low is reached. The temperatures will then warm slightly to achieve a much cooler high
temperature. But Sunday will not be the coolest day. On Monday, expect sub-freezing
temperatures for lows, and highs at or below the mid-40s across all of the state. During
the forecasting period, we are no longer expecting
any form of precipitation, rain or snow, to fall
locally. In the panhandle and parts of the northwest, however, there is a slight chance
for snow Sunday, but no major winter storm will occur during the passage of this arctic
front. Here is your Norman, Oklahoma day-by-day forecast.
On Friday, expect partly cloudy skies with a morning
low of 40, and an afternoon high of 57 degrees. Winds will blow from the north at 5 to 10
miles per hour. On Saturday, expect partly cloudy
skies with a morning low of 39 and an afternoon
high of 62 degrees. We’ll have winds from the north,
shifting to the south blowing at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
On Sunday, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low of
43 degrees in the late morning, and an afternoon high of 50 degrees. Winds will blow from the
south during the early morning and shift to the
north beginning late morning at 15 to 20 miles per
hour. We’ll have gusts at up to 25 miles per hour.
On Monday, expect sunny skies with a morning
