Hello! Welcome to how to run a canned food drive with The Pantry.
So the first step is we set a date for about three weeks for people to collect cans.
Then we make a flier that has our information for the food drive. And we can ask Creative
Media, which is our ASUCD marketing team located on the 3rd floor of the Memorial Union to
help us design an awesome, eye-catching flier.
To look at past fliers, visit your Google Drive
and click on the folder, called The Pantry Files.
In this folder there are examples of past fliers that we've used,
thank you samples,
and a contact list of our previous donors and volunteers.
and we can print out our canned food drive fliers from Campus Copies, which is located
on the first floor of the Memorial Union.
So when filling out the copy form, our Account # is 8041511,
which links money out of our ASUCD budget to pay for the copies. Activity is simply,
The Pantry, and you can sign your name for signature and authorization. The rest of the
form really depends on your judgment of the right number of copies and type of paper.
So now that we have this amazing flier we can start contacting our history of donors
and volunteers and start sending them e-mails with our fliers attached to them!
And we can ask our volunteers to help us distribute these fliers around campus..
"Hey volunteer, can you help hang these fliers around the health and wellness center,
the student community center, and the dining commons please?"
"Yeah, I can do that" "Thank you" With our canned food drive event coming to
a close we pick dates for the pick ups and ask our staff to help pick up the donations
from the various sites.
Our last step is picking up the cans and sending thank you cards for all those who donated
and participated in our canned food drive.
"I'm really thankful for all the help we got- time to write thank you cards!"
We celebrate by giving thanks to our community, counting our donations, and organizing the
foods so we can feed our fellow classmates at The Pantry! You can find stamps, envelopes,
and cardstock at The Pantry and the address of our history of donors and volunteers in
our Google Drive, The Pantry Files Folder.
Thank you for watching!
