the new york times wrote this really great piece about how hospitals are
creating these luxury suites for their rich uh...
i consider them clients in other rich patience
so basically i it'll be at the top floor of any hospital and this is happening in
new york city it's happening across angela and still is how would you like
the preeminent teaching hospital in new york columbia-presbyterian which for
years fought this yes but now they've apparently given up
they've given up out because they see that it could be a very lucrative thing
to the hospital
and you know a lot of hospitals are experiencing the same things that the
education system is experiencing they're getting cuts to finding so they're
trying to find other ways of making money and this is a great way for them
to make money at least that's the argument they're making so these luxury
suites
have rediculous amenities like you know
they have butler's philip policy have butler's yamiti
isn't enough to eat a butler
okay they have like chefs making gourmet cuisine so it's possible you have nurses
already waiting all you had it but but you know people who are wealthy what
that's like a good example of this is actually cnb on say when they gave birth
to their daughter you know they can just have any regular hospital room they out
rent it out this week in the hospital and it was beautiful you know it looks
like the suite at the four seasons with is actually more to that story like
johnson cedar sinai hospital here in los angeles
they have three eight hundred dollar maturity sweets
yes i do
so road when they when jay-z ambience they had the kid they obviously they do
it on the nice for the but then they're bodyguards
were like stopping bother of mothers
who were in this war
like you know what the mothers would go about their business a lot for the like
that
what what do you play here
right i'd jump like today we have to admit its peak
security measures they were afraid that someone would get somehow it in a photo
of the baby identify media i'd totally got why jay-z ambience they were worried
they had that been and protecting themselves against that make sense the
result that was the year in this lake
this notion that this is so exclusively your baby that is more than the other
babies that wasn't their intent
right absolutely
and you know you also have to keep in mind this is like a perfect depiction of
what's happening throughout the country right you have the wealthy people who
have these amazing suites with their own bottler gourmet
you know these crazy amenities by the way they have the best interior
designers in the country go into these hospital suites and designed it for that
just so it's as beautiful as possible they have nato hype thread count sheets
everything you can imagine and that in some of the hospitals in new york they
don't have
uh... the capacity to did every individual they're all in hospital rooms
they put two people per hospital room
and that that's for you know the middle class the working class so that i like
barely even getting half a hospital room when they're in jail at my dad was
responsible for ten days and yet he had to share a room some guy who was like
totally sick
it's really scary that's why i don't leave the grudging these people who have
access to do this
that do it
when he's not those charges forty five hundred dollars for foreigners
like sort of force canada and one of these hospitals to the the
the saudi king
uh... at new york presbyterian took affect the whole fourteenth floor for a
sandra hodge
then even sick
educated occupying that like where you staying in the hospital a common
fourteen oh it's a little bit sky
it later on camera while the party we bring the lowest that's the closest
thing where is this fall we fought my hospital for providing this thing for
people who is the most money on it
because there were four seasons type of hospital room
do we want the devastating the horrible experience of
to so we don't suggest that you're not aware if it were falling you know we
bought them for me and my resume we thank you
live like the youtube here is my only concern my only concern instant the
hospitals are doing this with government money
right with public money on because there are people who don't even have like the
basic
uh... necessities when they go to the hospital right lighting see here started
to people in a room because although we don't have enough money we don't know
what to do it after the civil rights given but i could give my when you talk
about public money like uh... again i'm a little out of my element here but
hospitals
in general
that that sure they all get
massive tax breaks for our clients that they should income so
already you can argue that there
intermixing money what i would be concerned about and i understand their
concern were still be the inevitability with the hostels insist does not happen
ever which is
the abdication care for the people with last month but they see as one standard
of care no matter what room you know what your situation
from a medical point of view book you know like inevitably they got rid of all
fourteen floor in over you at some point going to start
the notion
cycle through there more often i think in the stories suggest that happens
that would be your concert
