The Reduction in Income Appeal is for students and their families that have had a drastic
change from the information that they have provided on their Free Application for Federal
Student Aid,
FAFSA,
Approved changes for consideration of reduction in income include:
loss of income,
such as salary cuts,
unemployment,
refused hours,
social security, child support,
divorce or separation,
death of a spouse or parent
loss of income due to disability,
one time income from the previous year.
Please provide official documentation of the situation.
On the second page of the appeal,
you will find a list of requirements that must be submitted to the Reduction in Income
Appeal.
Please gather all the information and documents
listed from
1 through 7.
On the last page,
please complete the projected income worksheet.
Include what you have already earned or received as of today
and what you estimate you will earn or receive until December 31st
of this year.
Please have all appropriate parties sign and date the appeal.
You will then need to set up an appointment to meet with a Financial Aid Coordinator
to submit your Reduction in Income Appeal
with the documentation needed.
