The economical thought at Caritas in veritate

AN ENCYCLICAL WRITTEN WITH THE BLOOD OF THE MARTYRS
I believe that the encyclical brings,
brings fruit, when it’s written with
the blood of the martyrs.
It’s not that the encyclical,
otherwise it’s a paper, which remains
there in the libraries.
That means, for how much it has the power
of the teaching of St. Paul, but,
if the encyclical does not give voice
a people who gives the life every day
day in the companies, in the factories, in the families
for this written things there, I have the impression
that today the Church is less prophetic.
So, like to say, how could we hope
that the encyclical is heard, if it’s not from below,
really a people of Christians who testimonials
a sober life, a communion of goods,
a fair consume, really,
not with the 8‰ or the 5‰?
If we succeeded, as Christians,
much more than now, to show this dimensions,
to create thousands of social enterprises,
to make thousands of companies of communion,
then I think that they would be aware of it,
either because they feel the bother of it,
and so, I want, they react,
either because they are people of good faith,
they are honest people, maybe, they convert.
But, the encyclical takes power from the martyrs,
this is an antique idea.
I repeat, because a Rerum novarum changed the history?
Because Toini was there, there were thousands
of syndicalists who died in the companies,
there were banks, I don’t know how many
thousands of banks are born around the '91,
in Europe!
That, those facts give them encyclical power,
if this life is not there,
the encyclical remains a paper.
A paper written well, we hope, but a paper.
Instead the encyclical is not a paper,
because it’s behind the live
testimonial of the people.
Today, I have the impression that
the Christian world, Catholic,
from my point of view, does not see
the testimonial in the economic facts
important as the testimonial in the facts of life,
on the question of conscience,
it’s like if the economics was a place
to enter and plug the nose.
So, as long as we don’t reconcile
really with the economic, like a part of life,
which have the passions, the odours,
all the life, that the economic ethic
is important like the ethic of life,
we die of abortion, but we die also of hunger,
that means as long as we don’t reconcile
really with the economy, like an entire
place of life, we really don’t manage
to testify this thematic, because we are
the first separated, the first schizophrenic,
that, maybe, that, we consider the work
as a neutral place, where sometimes,
but not really as a Christian.
That’s why they don’t get aware of it,
maybe because it’s missing a real
and wide testimonial from
part of all of us.
