KIM: Here's a tip from the IRS.
Hi. I'm Kim.
And I'm an intern at the Internal Revenue Service.
Now that school's out,
what do you plan to do with your children?
If you're sending them to summer camp,
did you know that the money you pay
may help you qualify for a tax credit
on next year's tax return?
It's true.
Summer day camp expenses may help you qualify
for the child & dependent care credit.
Remember, it must be a day camp.
Overnight camps do not qualify.
And there's more.
If you pay someone to watch your child at home while you work,
you may still qualify for a credit
of up to 35% of what you pay.
To learn more about the child & dependent care credit
and to find out if you qualify,
go to IRS.gov.
