The Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando, Florida feature three miles of beautifully paint rock
ways that take you through fifty acres of Southern Style Gardens. The botanical garden
is situated on Lake Rowena and it gives visitors a sense of what old Florida was like. Visitors
will see America's largest camellia collection outside California, as well as the largest
formal rose garden in Florida. The fragrance here is pleasantly overwhelming and it's not
just about the flowers, you can check out forests filled with giant camp force, oaks
and palms. Herb, butterfly, palm and bamboo gardens are also popular with visitors but,
the the crown jewel of the property is the Leu House. It was built in 1888 as a residence.
It's now a decorative arts museum for visitors to enjoy. Landscaping, horticulture, fine
arts crafts and children classes are all available with free registration. Group tours, facility
rentals and weddings can also be booked here ahead of time. Go online for more information
and the garden's hours of operation.
