SHOP OWNERS JUST GOT
BACK FROM NEW YORK...
AFTER DROPPING OFF
SUPPLIES TO THE VICTIMS
OF HURRICANE SANDY.
ASHER AND ERIN
SCHOFIELD OWN FROG
AND TOAD ON HOPE
STREET.
LAST WEEK, THEY
ANNOUNCED ON THEIR
FACEBOOK PAGE THAT
THEY WOULD COLLECT
DONATIONS FOR STORM
VICTIMS.
THEY RECEIVED SO
MANY DONATIONS - THAT
THEY HAD TO RENT A
SECOND U-HAUL TRUCK
TO TRANSPORT THEM.
THIS WEEKEND - THE
COUPLE AND ASHER'S
FATHER - TRAVELED TO
FAR ROCKAWAY, LONG
ISLAND TO DROP OFF ALL
THE GOODS.
"I don't think either of us were
prepared for the scope of
devestation that was there and
the
desperation of all the people
that
were there, I mean there was a
real
sense of neighborhood and
community there, but they've
lost
everything and were incredibly
appreciative of everything that
we
had."

WHILE SHOCKED BY THE
DAMAGE...
THE SCHOFIELDS SAY
THEY WERE ALSO
INSPIRED BY THE
GENEROSITY OF THE
PEOPLE THEY MET WHILE
TAKING ON THIS PROJECT.
BOTH THE RHODE
ISLANDERS WHO
DONATED...
AND THE NATIVE NEW
YORKERS WHO HELPED
THEM HELP THE PEOPLE
WHO NEEDED IT MOST.
