How to use the made-for-enema soaps in your enema solution: Basically, you want to get
the equivalent of 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of liquid soap per quart of water. That's
just a rough estimate. Taking an enema is an art, not a science. How much enema soap
you need in your enema solution is going to depend on how sensitive your body is, how
often you take enemas, and on the size of your body. If you're more sensitive, use less
soap; if you're a larger person, use more soap. You never want to feel any irritation
from an enema. Always start with a smaller amount of any therapeutic solution and build
from that point so that you don't end up with an irritated colon.
The enema soaps can be used one of two ways: you can flake bits off the bar of soap with
a peeler or knife, or you can put the enema soap into your water directly, in a cup or
in your enema bag, like in the wonderful silicone enema bag. When placing the enema soap directly
into water, just drop it in the enema bag and let the soap sit in the enema bag for
one minute, maybe two minutes. Make a milky solution in water and then take the bar of
enema soap out of the water. This is really the easiest way to do it, but it will dissolve
your enema soap more quickly. The flaking of the enema soap does allow the bar to last
longer, but it takes the flakes of enema soap longer to dissolve.
