JAYNE ENTWISTLE: I'm Jayne Entwistle with expertvillage.com. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: And
I'm Andrew Stubblefield. And today we're playing some of our favorite improv games. This game
is called historical recall. How this game works is we play a scene, kinda normally,
and then from the audience we get a historical time period and we have to replay the scene
exactly by using the historical time period. So first of all, Andrew and I will play a
really short scene, kind of normally, and then we'll go from there. So, Andrew, do you
have a suggestion of where we could start this scene? ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Sure. How
about an orphanage? JAYNE ENTWISTLE: An orphanage. Okay. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Madam, I was wondering,
perhaps, if maybe I could go outside and play kickball with the other boys. JAYNE ENTWISTLE:
Well, yes you can, but there's a lot of snow and I don't want you to get lost. Make sure
you wear your woolly hat. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Oh, of course. You're always so kind to me,
Mrs. Libbits. JAYNE ENTWISLE: Oh, Frankie, you're one of my favorite little boys. Okay,
so there was a little scene. Now we're going to replay it again and, this time, we're going
to do a different historical time period. So how about we do Shakespeare? All right?
In the time of Shakespeare. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Madam, I was wondering if thou would let me
go outside and play in the summer sun that sets forth upon the dawn. JAYNE ENTWISLE:
Pity thou. I worry that I might get lost. Put on thy hat, take thy horn and blow trumpet
should anyone come hither. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Oh, Mrs. Libbits, you're like the wind that
breathes across the plains, making orchards cry with anger and agony in my heart. JAYNE
ENTWISTLE: Oh, for soothe. Johnny, you are but a knight shining in the blaze of mine,
thy knight. Okay. So that was historical recall, with a little Shakespeare for you.
