You may have seen video of a great white shark biting a surfboard or other things that aren’t
really food and they just seem to bite and leave it alone. That could be because the
great white does have taste buds, their inside its mouth and throat.
So, when it bites things that aren’t food (or maybe they just taste gross) they know
it. Come to think of it, I have never seen anyone catch a great white using broccoli
for bait, so that proves they do have good taste buds.
And Great Whites need high fat foods, so if what they bite isn’t blubbery like a seal,
they may not be interested in eating it. Thanks for watching and sharing our animal
facts with your friends!
