Hi, I'm Terry Bowden with Expert Village and we're talking about filing your taxes online.
Now of course we all know the seriousness of filing your taxes and if you've never filed
your taxes, you're probably not watching this video. So, you may have used a lot of the
services out there such as H&R Block, Jackson and Hewitt and so forth. In the last segment
we talked about getting everything together and all our W2's and whether you're single
or married, it doesn't make a difference. But if you're married that you do have your
spouse's information in front of you so you can definitely put in the data. And we all
know that accuracy is very important and we sure don't want to get audited, right? You
got it. So let's look at what we have. We are going to the computer to do this. As far
as your availability, you may not have a computer at home, and if you do not, there are other
sources and areas you can go and use the computer for free, such as the library. They have access,
of course you just have to get a library card there so you can use the computer. It's also
very, very important that you have a printer available, because when you get done entering
the data and submitting it to the IRS you definitely want to print out all the information.
You don't have to do it immediately when you get done with the process, but you definitely
want to have access to a printer eventually so you can print out all the information.
Also, another place is the employment security division in your town. Yes, I know that's
where you go to get a job and look for a job and so forth, but they do have access to computer
and actually they have printers too. There's not a lot of pages to it, so I don't think
they'll mind if you use their printer there also. So there are a couple of places you
can do this. Also at the mall, there's always an internet cafe in your neighborhood you
can use. There may be a small fee, but I think it'd be worth it if you're going to file your
taxes. A friend's house a neighbor, you know, so if you do not have a computer available,
those are some of the outlets and places you can use a computer so you can file your income
taxes. Alright, in our next segment we'll get on the computer and begin.
