When someone's coming in, most of the time they are sitting to the side,
waiting on an applicant services specialist to speak with them.
So these Signs will provide a little information to them prior to speaking
with someone. They may have a lot of questions about what's going to
happen after I leave here today or what information do I need to provide
today in order to get the assistance that I need. They explain the
application process and they tell you what FEMA provides and what we don't
provide. If someone sitting in line this is going to be information that
is very important for them. They should be reading it and basically we
answer most of the commonly ask questions on these banners. Ways to
provide more information for elgiblity such as renters'insurance,
insurance information, we even have fraud information on, you know, what
to look out for in case there's, you know, fraud in the area. The banners
came out of the customer service surveys that we do for DRC, that
people were saying that they wish they had a little bit more
information while they were sitting and waiting to speak with an
applicant services specialist. This is the first time that we are going
to be providing these banners in the DRC. The new thing we are trying to
do, so basically, Region 5 Milwaukee declaration is the pilot program for
this. FEMA is dedicated to providing the best customer service that we can
and we think the banners will assist in that.
