Hi, I’m Si Nguyen, director of marketing for Duplo USA.
Thank you for your interest in our products.
From all-in-one slitting/cutting/creasing machines and perfect binders
to sheetfeeding and bookletmaking systems,
Duplo continues to be a leader in digital color finishing.
The product you’re about to see is one of many solutions we offer to meet your needs.
Please take a look…
The System 3500, Duplo’s mid-range collating and bookletmaking system,
produces professionally-stitched booklets at speeds of up to 3,000 books an hour.
Incorporating up to two high-speed DC-10/60 Pro suction-feed collators
in-line with the automatic DBM-350 Bookletmaker and Trimmer,
the System 3500 is the perfect compliment to the entry-level System 2000 and the high-end System 5000.
The System 3500 provides an ideal finishing solution for short to mid-volume jobs.
With a host of automatic features, operators can easily set up jobs and produce high quality books in a matter of minutes.
The bookletmaking process begins with the DC-10/60 Pro Collators.
With an industry-leading stack capacity of 2.6 inches and Duplo’s dual fan technology,
the DC-10/60 Pro ensures accurate and reliable feeding of un-collated applications.
Each bin is equipped with two fans for quiet and maintenance-free operation.
The first fan provides even air separation through three nozzles located at the front of the stack
while the second fan generates vacuum for the belt suction feeder.
The dual fan system means that in the unlikelihood a fan malfunctions, the other 9 bins remain fully functional.
For better sheet separation, long stack guides are provided to channel the air through the entire stack.
Operation is controlled through the color touch screen LCD panel.
Feed adjustments are easily accessible, conveniently located next to each bin.
As the sheets are fed, the high resolution, Double Feed Detection software
uses light emitting sensors to accurately determine if two sheets have been fed.
The sheets are then collated and transported into the bookletmaker for stitching, folding, and trimming.
The push belt transport system gently guides the set through the DBM-350 Bookletmaker
where it is stitched together with heavy duty stitching heads.
The push belt only activates when the book is ready to move into the fold roller,
preventing scratches and static build-up.
The book is folded and sent to the Integrated Book Spine Compressor
to improve the lay-flat quality of the finished book.
Operators can increase the number of presses to compensate for thicker books.
As the books are face trimmed on the DBM-350T and delivered to the stacker,
waste is collected in an external bin for easy removal while the system is running.
Jobs are easily programmed from the user-friendly DBM-350 control panel
and up to 20 jobs can be stored for instant recall.
The System 3500’s modular design allows the system to be configured with optional kits
for side/corner stitch, 6-page insert, and small booklet applications.
Users requiring stacking abilities can choose from an array of Duplo stackers such as the DCR-ST Cross Stacker.
Rotating at 90-degree angles, the DCR-ST keeps the sets neatly separated as they are cross stacked.
With the ability to handle a wide range of paper stock, the System 3500 produces a variety of high quality books
including calendars, catalogs, photo books, yearbooks, newsletters, and much more.
Automation and productivity make Duplo’s System 3500 the ideal collating and bookletmaking solution
for your short to mid-range finishing needs.
