Hi this is Jon and in this clip we will be lubricating the snowblower. Whether we have
a two cycle engine snowblower or a four cycle engine snowblower they both need to be lubricated.
If you have a chain for your snowblower, it is good to just put a little of white lithium
grease on that chain and that is going to protect it from rust and since we do have
some metal on metal where the chain meets the gears we want to make sure that it will
turn smoothly. Additionally in our auger unit we want to make sure that we lubricate any
part that is going to move so along these edges here and any other point where there
is metal on metal contact. Now for turning our shoe we want to make sure that that stays
lubricated. Here it looks like it is sticking just a little bit. For this I am just going
to take some all purpose grease and coat my entire unit.
And that seems to be running quite a bit smoother. It is also recommended to lubricate any pulleys
but you want to be careful not to get too much on the belt because you don't want to
it to slip off.
