I wish someone had told me to be proud of the skills that I have.
Even if you don't necessarily have confidence on the first day,
you should at least project the air of confidence.
No one will be a better advocate for you than yourself.
Be a yes and person.
You will never feel like you know everything.
You grow, and you mature, and you learn.
You can handle a lot more than you think you can.
Don't be afraid to ask questions.
Be on time.
It's about having fun and spreading the joy of what you're doing.
It's OK to make mistakes.
They don't follow you forever.
If you make a mistake, own up to it.
What is the worst thing that can happen?
You mess up a little bit.
So what?
You get up and do it again.
Getting ready for your job first day, give yourself enough time.
I wish that I knew it was OK as a woman to have a voice in the room.
People might expect you to not say something.
But the truth is that you're there to do a job, and you have a brain.
And if you have an opinion about something,
it's really important that you express it.
I am not only an ambassador for myself when I'm in the workplace.
I'm an ambassador for all the other women around me
and all the women that are going to try and join my career and my profession
in the future.
And so I need to be the best example of myself not only for me but for them.
