It is estimated that there are 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
It's really dangerous over there and they had to cross
rivers and walk through the desert.
They would go days without eating.
This is a worldwide problem
of shifting populations around the world.
Hundreds of thousands of families are affected
by deportation every year.
My dad came to school and just told them,
I don't want to leave Jasmine, but she doesn't want to go.
How many legal kids with illegal parents are in this country
or not in this country?
Together they could have made it.
But separated it requires a herculean effort
from so many people.
So I was apprehensive about even getting involved.
I don't want to deal with that. It's not my problem.
Our immigration system is so complicated.
We in the United States right now are operating in an atmosphere of fear.
