Today I'm going to be doing a tutorial on this look right here.
This is based off of Kate Bosworth's Met Gala makeup.
This was done by Hung Vanngo. I'll link his instagram below and the specific picture that I'm referencing.
I tried to match her like her accessories as much as possible. I ended up having
earrings very similar to hers. But I'm wearing this headband that's all jeweled. This is from J.Crew.
She's wearing this nice headpiece crown. So this is as close as I could get.
But I hope you enjoy today's tutorial. And apologies for the rain sound. I can't control that. It's supposed to be raining all day today so yeah.
I'm priming my eyelid first with some Urban Decay primer potion.
I'm bringing it onto my lower lash line as well.
With a Sigma E45 brush I'm taking the color Poppy from Makeup Geek.
I'm doing a light wash of this all over my lid.
And then I'm going to wing the color up towards the point of my eyebrow.
Wing the color up.
Towards your brow.
With the same brush I'm using the color Morocco and placing this all over where I put that Poppy color.
Then on top of that I'm putting this color which is Clementine from Nabla Cosmetics.
Same brush.
With this color I'm going to feather out the edge of the wing.
Next for the gold I'm using the color Half Baked from the Naked 1 palette.
On a small pointed brush.
And I'm going to place this at the inner corner and then also on the bottom lash.
Bring it up onto your lash slightly.
And then line your bottom lash.
And make it a thicker line.
All the way to the end of your water line.
Over that I'm putting a little bit of this Heavy Metal Glitter in the color Baked.
I believe in the picture she had used a shadow that was already a little bit more glittery so to do that I'm just going to use this glitter. Just a tiny bit.
And I'm just going to dot it all over where I placed the gold onto the lower lash line.
Next with a black liner I'm going to line just the top water line.
And then to finish off the eyes I'm putting mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
Of course I'm pretty sure she wore fake lashes but I don't have any so as always I'm going to just put a ton of mascara on.
Now for brows hers were very feathery and soft looking so with the spoolie I'm brushing up my brow hairs first.
I'm lightly filling them in.
Just where it's sparse but I'm not going to make them too bold looking.
And then I am setting them with some brow gel.
This will help create that really feathered look if you brush your brows up.
For my base I'm using one pump of the Nars sheer glow on my foundation brush.
For concealer I'm using the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer.
Blending it in with a Real Techniques setting brush.
Then I'm setting the concealer with some ELF HD powder.
On another Real Techniques setting brush.
For blush I'm using the color Furnace from the Sleek by 3 blush palette.
Very lightly, placing this on my cheeks.
I'm tryna make it as soft as possible.
I'm going to go in and blend it in with my foundation brush.
And then very lightly I'm adding some of this Laura Mercier pressed powder using a Real Techniques sculpting brush.
She didn't seem to have too much contour so I'm just going to keep it more at the outer edge.
Just for a little bit of definition.
I'm not bringing it in up to here like I usually do, I'm just stopping right here.
I'm using this Laura Mercier powder in Golden Bronze and this Real Techniques fan brush for the highlighter.
Just like the Zendaya Met Gala makeup I'm going to use a heavy hand with this to create that very glowing highlightery look.
The great think about this powder like I said yesterday is that it's pretty soft so when you use a heavy hand, it doesn't get stripey looking.
But the other thing is that you can kind of use this all over your face for that glowy look.
I believe this is very similar to the Hourglass Ambient Light powders.
I'm bringing it on my nose, my chin, my cheeks, and also my brow bone.
And then for lips I'm using J.Crew's Poppy King.
And that is the makeup complete!
