My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect
wedding. When you're the mother of the groom, you obviously have to speak to the bride about
what color, what length and in what genre the bride would like you to look. but on the
other hand, you're still a mom, you're still the next generation from the bride and the
groom and the mother of the groom should wear a dress that makes her feel very comfortable
and very happy and feel that she looks pretty that night because she is a hostess, as well
as the mother of the bride and she does do a dance on the floor with her son. She is,
somewhat, the center of attention. Takes many, many pictures. So, mother of the groom should
consult with the bride but then, go out and buy the prettiest thing she can find.
