It seems North Korea could soon face the consequences for its recent ballistic missile launches.
The UN Security Council is now locked in closed-door discussions on ways to punish North Korea
for its latest provocation. The request for a special meeting came from
the United States after Pyongyang test-fired two medium-range Rodong ballistic missiles
into the East Sea. Council diplomats say Washington is expected
to condemn the missile firings but it remains to be seen whether China,... the North's traditional
ally,... would be willing to support the statement. China said on Thursday... that all related
parties should dedicate themselves to maintaining peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.
