Start from the basic clinching position.
One hand should be on your opponent's neck and the other hand should control their other arm.
When your opponent throws a knee
Pull your arm around their neck down, and push the other arm under their arm pit.
As you pull their neck down, you step to the side
As you step your left leg sweeps your opponent as you pull them down
The key to this technique is timing and your rotation
Remember to pull their head down, not to the side
This is the basic throw.
When I throw the knee, my one leg is off balanced.
Ann is going to use that brief moment of being off balanced
And he's going to throw me to the ground.
Notice the combination of footwork and hand pulling
Watch how Ann waits for the knee to raise up to hits highest point
His right arm goes underneath my armpit, and his left arm pulls my head down.
As he throws he takes a step to the side with his legs, and twists his hips
This helps him generate the power of the throw.
