Welcome to Tea Time with Liam. I am Liam.
Today we're talking with Ryan Dinkley who is an active member of the Little People and
Person of Short Statures Rights to America as well as a first time author of his new
book, "Living with the 'M' Word".
Welcome Ryan.
Ryan Dinkler. Thank you.
Do you want a Yellow Pages or anything to sit on?
No, that's.. that's fine.
You must be very excited about your new book.
I am! It actually didn't hit until I started to do...
I don't mean to cut you short - But you must have been extremely proud that
they took your book and made it into a movie. And I just had to say that I thought the Hobbit
was just.. was just a great, great thing for your people.
That's funny! You're hilarious.
I don't understand.
Well, Hobbits are a fictional, diminutive, humanoid race who inhabit a fictional universe.
Well, I haven't read your book. I though it was a biopic.
Well, it is. But I had nothing to do with The Hobbit. I am not affiliated in any shape,
way, or form with that concept. They are fictional beings.
Okay! Okay! Well, is it not true that if I were to capture one of your people in the
wild, you would have to grant me three wishes?
Are you freaking kidding me? What you're referring to is a leprechaun. I'm a little person!
Isn't that the same thing?
No. Hobbits, gnomes, leprechauns, goblins, oompa loompas... They're not real. They're
all made up.
So, dwarfs are not real?
Well, no. "Dwarf" is the term we use.
So you are in The Hobbit!
This is ridiculous. We're done here.
Cut.
