Hey guys whats up its me Dalvin here in todays video I'll be going over some cool
for your iphone from the company square jellyfish.
Just to give you guys a little back story on these products they started out as
kickstarter projects and was released later on after some success.
The first up is the square jellyfish holder which is a combo phone stand and ear
phone wrap. A neat thing is that square jellyfish includes some free pair of earphones
when you buy them
They're not premium or anything but its still a pretty cool gesture.
The holder itself is made of plastic which if I drop isn't going to break easily which is a
plus and I can also put it easily in my pocket for safekeeping with minimum
visibility
Using the holder is easy. You just place the earbuds into the grooves and wrap
wrap clockwise and slip the headphone jack into the center groove. It closes with a nice
little snap which lets you know these aren't going to drop anytime soon. These are
usually meant for the earphones that come with your ipod or iphone so I don't see
it working for uniquely shaped earbuds.
You can bend the back of the holder to use as a stand in landscape mode for your phone and
works well for some simple video watching. I tried it in portrait mode and it
didn't work as great. The earphone holder costs about $10 on amazon so to
me the price is too high and should drop to maybe $5 or so
that it provides a few uses
Onto the smartphone tripod holder and pocket tripod. The pocket tripod as you can
tell is a miniature tripod that can be thrown in your pocket for quick pictures. The
tripod thread is mounted on a rail and the whole thing is made of plastic which is okay. I
don't really see this requiring any serious metal or anything and it'll work
for any digital camera or camcorder. Paired with the smartphone tripod holder you
you get a perfect setup for taking still pictures or video with your phone. It
would have been cool to have it attach on a keychain or something but a pocket is
just fine. You can get some pretty good pictures out of this especially if you use
a timer on your camera
or with a camera app like
It only works with a few angles but if you're creative enough you can work wel
with it.
The only worry I had is that the smartphone holder has metal arms which could end
up scratching the back of your phone
but it hasn't happened to me yet
The smartphone holder costs $12 which again could use a price drop and the pocket
tripod costs $6 which I think is reasonable.
pick all three of these up with the links below to amazon.
