this is a tutorial on what to do
with extra chains
at the end of your work
I have a six inch square here
It is done with the half double crochet ribbing
I do have a tutorial for this stitch
sometimes you wind up with extra chains
at the end of your work
you don't have to rip all your work out
just because you have to many chains
there is a few different things that you can do
to fix this
one of them is if your work is big enough
you can sew you chain between the stitches
the next thing you can do
is pull the chain out
it takes a little bit of time
if that is what you want to do
you can keep pulling the chain out
if your knot is to tight
and you can't get it out
the third thing you can do is cut it
then you make a tail
you unravel that way
pull it snug
then make a new knot
hide it and weave it between your work
it is not necessary to worry about the exact multiple
at the beginning of your work
it is one of those things that happens to everyone
you may wind up with to many chains
and you rip your work out
everything else is perfect
from now on, you don't have to rip your work out
just keep on going
if everything is working right
don't worry about the extra chains
there is always a solution
