Okay, we're finished mixing our icing, our royal icing, and this is the consistency that
you should have, like this; thick thick, but still a little bit runny. Okay, if the two
cups of sugar is too loose and very watery, just add more confectioners sugar as you're
mixing it, until you get this consistency. Now we're going to take some out and put add
some color to it. I want a little bit of pink and a little bit of red. So, I'll just take
a little bit out; put it into some small bowls and I'm using a paste or a gel food coloring.
You don't want to use that liquid food coloring that you get in the grocery store. It will
water down your icing and change the consistency, so you want to use a nice paste or a gel,
and you can get that in the cake decorating area of a craft store, or a specialty store,
or a cooking store. And just add add your colors in until you like what it looks like.
Now, to make red and pink, we're going to just add less of the food coloring for the
pink, and we'll make more intense color for the red.
