Hello! On today's CPNtv we'll be having a look at Spider-Man Classics wave 4 Venom.
Alright, let's start with the packaging.
...come here...
Hmm... ok, ok...
The first thing I can say about it is that it shows the figure really well.
Here you go. You can see him freely from each side.
And the thing that catched my eye on the peg was this small, Venom sized clamshell.
It's small... really small.
Also very cool is this neatly cut Spider-Man. It surely will appeal to the kids.
And here is a gimmick that isn't an action feature at all.
Fortunately, there are no stupid shooting actions interfering with articulation.
On the back, other figures in this wave:
Spider-Man, a strange scuba diver Spidey, black web shooter Spider-Man,
Juggernaut, not as cool as the ML one, a great Eddie Brock Venom
and Carnage who I really want to get.
Higher we have... Venom - Mac Gargan, former Scorpion, with a Spider-Man.
What do we have here? This Spidey is sold separately,
in case you didn't already notice that he isn't inside the packaging.
Some bio. We have here, that Mac Gargan was just a normal guy
a detective hired by J. Jonah Jameson to spy on Spidey.
Later he became Scorpion and snapped.
And even later the Venom symbiote approached him and Mac snapped even worse.
And he became Scorpion-Venom.
And that's probably all... Oh, a bar code there.
Some web page informations.
Oh, one thing. This entire wave is divided into super heroes and super villains.
And that's about it. A really cool packaging. Here you go.
Ok, wait a sec and we'll be having a look on this awesome figure.
And Venom is out of his package and ready to rumble.
You see him here?
C'mon, stand! Ok, the first thing is that he's a little back heavy
and he has some problems standing.
Stay.
K. It's cause of those tiny legs, compared to the rest of his body.
And that's his front.
Let's have a closer look, starting with the head.
I very, very, very like his long tounge and his face sculpt.
Those little red eyes in bigger white.
That's the thing the Eddie Brock Venom is lacking for me.
I mean, it's not a drawback, but with them he looks even more savage than usual.
And this elongated, slimy tounge.
Really, really cool curled tounge.
Below we have this huge... get your head away... huge spider.
With a tail. I'll talk about it later.
And similarly big hands, big biceps, some vains or strained symbiote.
His little web shooting trapeziums... suqares... trapeziums.
And another element which, for me, the first Venom is lacking
those falcon talon like, Sabretoothish giant claws.
With them Venom can reach his victim.
Lower... a little too small legs.
I wasn't sure if he will stand on them but... oh, here you go!
It seems that everything depends on the position of his tail.
Little hobbit feet.
I definitely think that he's a great sculpted figure. Definitely.
Ok, the tail.
It moves, has a stinger on the end, you can also detach it.
Stand here, sweetie.
You can say that his tail is an accessory.
Detach and do an Eddie Brock Venom, at least I'm gonna do that.
I already have a Scorpion, so maybe this one won't have a tail.
But who knows, this tail looks really damn great. Though it's stinger is a tad too big.
Speaking of Scorpion and other figures, let's do a size comparison.
I'll bring my custom Marvel Legends M.O.D.O.K. first.
And here you go.
Venom is definitely bigger than Mo here.
Step aside, Mo.
Venom could easily eat M.O.D.O.K.
Raaarrr... I'll eat you!!!1
Ok, stay here, you'll eat him later.
Let's bring Scorpion now. Go away, Mo.
Said Scorpion. From the same series... I mean not series-wave, but series-Spidery Classics.
A cool Scorpion with a fully poseable tail, thanks to a wire inside it. Someday I'll totallynoareview him too.
Comapring him to Venom... Yeah, they're probably the same height. Maybe when I'll straighten his legs...
Maybe when I'll straighten his legs he would be higher. No, they're the same.
One Gargan aside. (sound effects) Attach his tail there.
