What is the difference between the Chaya Onyx & the Chaya Sapphire boots?
The main difference between the Sapphire and the Onyx boot is the shell and how
it's made and what it's made of. So the Onyx boot is our carbon &
silver fiberglass shell & the Sapphire boot is our injected nylon shell with
added fiberglass for durability & strength. So, as you can see here with the
Sapphire, the shell is made of nylon & I actually have a shell here to show you.
It's pretty cool. So the nylon shell here has flex cuts built in, so it
actually gives you more flex at the points that often can hurt when
you get new skates or the bits that people have in a wider feet or narrower
ankles, wider ankles, so we've built in flex cuts and these like precise points.
It conforms to the shape of your foot & it will just feel really comfortable
& give you flex exactly where you need it. We've had this shell since day one
when we first started back in 2015 and skaters with wider feet especially are
finding this a really good skate for them because of that extra width that it
gives you with the flex in the shell. It's a really exciting boot & it's
also super durable because of that fiberglass in there, so this boot is
going to last you a long time. The main difference then is also aesthetics, as
you can see. The Sapphire boot is slightly higher cut again, it runs more
similar to our Pearl fit at the top here, but it's nice & soft around the ankle
and it also has our super soft microfiber lining, just like all our
other boots. That's the main differences between our Onyx
and our Sapphire boot & if you have more questions, please comment below.
