Hey, I'm here at Massanutten Waterpark in Virginia today, and giving the Pentax K-5
DSLR a little test. This is a unique camera, in that it has 77 seals against moisture,
so you can, you can splash it pretty well. You can't dunk it under water, but if it's
raining on you or if a wave hits you or something, no big deal. You can keep shooting. The camera
is so well sealed against moisture, we had our in-house lead photographer J, today, at
the waterpark shooting footage of people using the fun features here. And he gets wet, man.
The camera gets drenched and he can keep shooting and get that shot. And that is so valuable
when, there's a lot of places where you need a camera like this, and you just can't bring
it because it, it just can't take the moisture, But this one, the K-5 really can. When you're
trying to seal a camera like this off from moisture, there's a lot of places it can get
in. Of course, many of them are on the camera body and Pentax has those sealed. The other
place is on the lens. And you can see here, this little red ring around here is a rubber
gasket that seals water out from the main body compartment. It's also sealed internally.
And Pentax has a line of lenses designed specifically to be sealed against moisture. And those are
lenses with the WR designation, weather resistant, in the model name. With one of those lenses
and this camera body, you could go out in the rain with it and you'll be okay. It'll
shoot seven frames a second, which is nice and fast for catching that perfect action
moment. You can also configure the camera any number of ways to suit your shooting style.
And you even have a user setting up here that will remember everything for you, so you can
always switch right back to it. If you have any questions about the Pentax K-5 or weather-proof
cameras in general, just give us a call.
