Gee, I wonder where that could be?
Mason: We're going to Scheels.
Going to Scheels!
So... drove all the way up from Southern Utah to the Scheels in Sandy, Utah. About 300 miles. No big deal.
But, uh, thought I'd check out the store. You can see it's a big place. Got a big ol' Ferris wheel right in the middle of it.
And we're headed back towards the firearms department here.
It's a long walk!
And uh, in the middle of the store they have, in addition to that Ferris wheel, they've got this big, gigantic, arched fish tank
they have a diver climb into and clean. I thought that was kinda cool.
Nice bit of show for you. But onward towards the firearms department!
You know, I made a shady parking lot deal out in this very parking lot of the Scheels in Sandy
where I sold my Springfield XDm to a fellow gun nut out there, & was hoping to use that money to put towards a Sig Sauer P227
which Sig Sauer has said repeatedly they're going to ship in March. But they haven't! So thanks so much Sig Sauer!
So I went to the Scheels. They didn't have the Sig P227, so I didn't get one. But I did get something.
A quick shout out to my good friend Jake. I've known him since about 1986, 1987. We've been good friends ever since.
We took different paths in life. He went on to become a police officer, was a sergeant of a local police department here in Utah
and served quite a bit of time there. And now he teaches the firearms course, the concealed carry course, at Scheels.
And I highly recommend that, if you don't have your Utah concealed-carry permit yet, go to Scheels in Sandy,
take the class from my good friend Jake. The instructor does make a big difference.
I've seen really good instructors, I've seen really bad in- structors. Jake is one of the really good instructors.
I think you'll definitely benefit from taking the class from him. So go do it!
So, what did I get? I didn't get the Sig Sauer. The next gun on my list was a Ruger SR40C. They didn't have that either.
Just out of stock. Um, really tough gun to find right now, at least where I live.
So I picked this up instead. What is it?
Well, it says Smith & Wesson on the box there. I wonder what it could be?
Well, that an M&P!
That's right. I got myself an M&P22.
Up on deck for the next shooting review: M&P22!
Stay tuned...
