Portable Pipe Vises
Hi, I'm Mike from RIDGID.
And I'm going to give you a quick walkthrough of our range of pipe vises.
Start with this one.
The Model 425 is a folding-leg vise.
Capacity is 1/8-inch through to 2 1/2-inch.
And it's the standard chain style with the V-jaws and the top screw.
On the back here, you've got some work holders and the rest for longer pieces of tube.
Moving through the range now, to the 460.
Bigger capacity.
1/8-inch through to 6-inch.
Still a folding style, so the legs can be folded up.
And still the standard chain and top screw style with the V-jaws here.
Large area for working on so you can put tools on here.
This cuts out for taking tools.
Back stop for long lengths of pipe.
And we get the addition now of the ceiling brace screw.
So the idea with that, take a piece of 1-inch tube, and you cut the tube
to get you, say, onto a beam or a doorway.
And you can brace the vise down and clamp it to the ground, so it's not going to go anywhere.
Then up to the 460 12-inch version.
So much longer chain now because we've got a capacity from 1/8-inch
through to 12-inch pipe.
Large V-jaws here.
Bigger working area here.
Still the ceiling brace screw just offset to the side.
And the addition now for leveling the vise because we're working with big pipe.
On the back here, the rear leg is adjustable, so we can level the pipe when it's in place.
And the 460 6-inch and 12-inch versions both feature the earth welding ground underneath.
And then moving onto the 560, this model is capacity 1/8 through to 5-inch.
Chain style again.
V-jaws. The addition now on the side of a tool tray, so you can put all your tools on here.
And down this pipe here, here's the backstop.
Slight difference with the 560 is that the silver legs and connecting pipe
that you see here don't come with it.
So you actually make this vise up yourself.
You cut the legs from tube, and you make it as high as you wish, depending on how tall you are.
