I've never expected the supernatural.
God, He doesn't do things like this.
This was not part of my way of thinking.
This isn't something that I would even believe
if someone had told me.
We were in a desperate place in our marriage.
Our marriage was very, very difficult
and it was full of hurt and disappointment.
to a place where I didn't know if I even wanted to go on.
So when you went to the church, what happened?
Well, God did a miracle for us in that place.
And as she walked by me
I could smell that same sensation that you smell
when you're in a dental office
and they start drilling your teeth
So, what was the miracle that happened to you?
God gave us gold teeth.
Hold on, did you hear that?
God gave us gold teeth.
I should probably stop it here and explain a few things.
You're probably wondering who these people are.
Well, I can assure you they aren't crazy
In fact, that's Aunt Patsy.
And that's Uncle Bob.
Now I'm not the type of person
who just believes everything he hears
but when your own family
who you've known your whole life and you know is on the up-and-up
tells you that, well,
this happened to them in church?
Let's just say it makes you start
to question a few things.
So I began to wonder
if God put gold teeth in somebody's mouth,
what else was He up to?
I decided to travel the world to find out.
And let me tell you
if you think this is weird,
it's about to get a whole lot weirder
Everyone, no matter who you are or what you believe
has a kind of grid of understanding.
Usually this grid is based on your experience or upbringing.
My grid was pretty simple.
God can do miracles if He wants to
but I never saw any so they must be pretty rare.
God was kind of like an invisible friend
whose greatest hits happened a long time ago.
Back then people needed raw displays of power
because their theology wasn't as sophisticated as ours is now.
There was one thing that I was pretty sure of
No matter what God did, He was very, very normal.
and He always made perfect sense.
Being new to all this miracle stuff
I figured the best place to start
would be the one place that I knew best:
church.
So I started taking my camera to churches
where I heard God was doing some...
well...interesting things.
I was already willing to accept the whole gold teeth thing
because of my aunt and uncle,
even though I still thought it was really stinking weird.
But apparently God wanted to make sure
I got the point.
My teeth have been in kind of a disastrous situation
The dentists are so expensive, and I'm a senior
and I mean I really needed some dental work.
And he did it for me. -Wow
Let me see that flashlight. He's got a flashlight.
Look at this. If you can see it, let's see.
On the bottom. Look at that.
It didn't take long for me to realize that gold teeth
were just the tip of the iceberg.
But even though so many people
were getting these things
I couldn't shake that nagging question of "Why?"
Why teeth?
Why would a God who's so normal do something so abnormal?
Well certainly it's a sign and a wonder.
And when it started happening here
I got in touch with unbelief that I didn't know I had
I said, "Why would God do this and this?"
You know, people ask the question
If God's going to show up and do miracles
why doesn't He heal that lady in the wheelchair?
and forget about gold teeth for somebody?
and it's an unanswered question
I don't know why God does what he does sometimes
but I do know we had a lady in a wheelchair
get a gold tooth one time and she was very very happy.
She didn't say "I don't want this,
"I want my healing"
she just was really honored and thrilled
that God did that for her.
But it wasn't just gold teeth.
Gold dust started showing up too.
It's basically little flecks of gold
that show up on random people,
bibles, or whatever.
Or this guy, Joshua Mills
When he speaks
he literally gets covered in gold dust
An intern told me
that when he picked him up from the airport
he didn't have a speck on him.
and by the time he got to the church
this is what he looked like.
One night at a church service where I was filming,
Harold and Kaye Bayer, you'll meet them soon,
are called forward to receive prayer.
Now the prayer itself was simply a prayer of blessing.
nothing fancy
just a "God loves you so be blessed" kind of thing
while this is happening
they both get knocked out by the power of God.
and once they go down, the strangest thing happens.
Do you see it?
I didn't see it either,
until the people around them started pointing.
Then I saw it. right there,
right where it hadn't been just 30 seconds earlier,
was a pile of gold dust.
The whole scene was pretty amazing,
but also kinda weird
cause here we are all witnessing an,
"it wasn't there a minute ago and now it is"
miracle, but we're also all craning our necks
trying to catch a glimpse of
a man's...well... you know...
Jeff Jansen, who was the speaker that night
said it was a prophetic sign of reproducing.
and while that's probably true
I still think it's proof that
God's got a killer sense of humor.
So let me introduce these two.
This is Harold and Kaye Bayer
the sweetest Lutheran couple you'd ever wanna meet.
For the past 36 years God's been giving them a gift
that they never asked for
but are more than happy to receive.
Here's an eyewitness to what happened to them
right before I began filming.
We were seeing how holy this was.
Harold was standing right next to me, and...
I've been with him before when this happens
and there's like a shift
You just feel this shift in the atmosphere and it just...
spontaneously shows up in his hand.
And it almost tosses him because he's so overcome
by the power of God.
So what is it that comes to them
quite literally out of thin air?
This...Manna
That's right
the same manna God provided the Israelites
when they were in the desert for 40 years
It either shows up in Harold's hands
or in his Bible.
always on the same page, Revelation 2:17
"He who has an ear let him hear,
"what the Spirit says to the churches,
"to him who overcomes,
"I will give some of the hidden manna."
Now I never would have believed this
if I hadn't seen it happen.
But I did see it happen
Twice.
And apparently
this stuff has some incredible healing properties of its own.
Which makes sense, seeing as
it kept the Israelites healthy for 40 years
and this is pretty much all they ate.
Now this is Canon Andrew White
and you'll hear more from him later
but for right now, you need to know that
he's the official Anglican priest
over the whole of Iraq
and he's intimately involved in the
political and diplomatic process
between the Pentagon and the Iraqi government.
During my interview with him,
he dropped this little tidbit on me.
Huh...
Now I wonder why I've never heard that
on the evening news?
One night,
when I was filming at a church service
where the manna came,
my friend Nancy walked past me
and said that there was some kid outside
who was having a serious problem
and an ambulance had just shown up
to take him to the hospital.
She said she was going to give him some manna
and see what happens.
This I had to see.
So I grab my camera
and walk through the mass of people
to get outside where the ambulance was.
There was Nancy
trying to talk the paramedics into
letting her in to see the kid.
They thought she was nuts,
but they let her see him
as long as I turned off my camera.
Obviously, this wasn't normal hospital procedure.
He didn't respond and I said,
"Richie I'm going to give you some communion."
and put my hand on him, prayed for him,
and then when I prayed for him, he opened up his mouth
stuck out his tongue, and I put it on his tongue
and he just took it, opened up his eyes a little bit
and they said, "Ok, you need to leave now."
Hey Cindy. Cindy! This is his mom, Cindy.
What's wrong with him?
He had a complete mental breakdown two weeks ago.
And he had to go in the hospital for over a week.
What happened tonight then?
Tonight he had...
He didn't react so quickly.
He left after the worship
He said the same thing was happening to his head
that he felt like he was losing his thinking
and "What's wrong with me?" and "I don't know."
But then, when he was in there
his equilibrium became...
Later, when the night was over
and I was packing up my stuff
Nancy told me she had just received a call
and the kid was being released from the hospital that moment.
He was absolutely and totally fine.
Now as if gold teeth, gold dust, and manna weren't enough
there was still one thing left to come
That completely wrapped my mind in a knot.
This.
What you're looking at are 50 carat gem stones
that have appeared out of thin air.
These things are falling all over the world.
Apparently, jewelers have looked at some of these
and they can't seem to figure out what they are.
The main problem they're having
is that they're simply too perfect.
They contain no flaws.
They aren't cubic zirconium. They aren't man made.
And they lack certain features that most gem stones have.
Some are growing.
Others have multiplied in front of people's eyes.
And some have fallen already set in gold.
Now it's one thing to hear the stories, but quite another
when I'm filming, and I get a tap on my shoulder telling me
that some gem stones just fell in the front.
So I grab my camera, trample over people yet again,
And there they are.
Now I know what you're thinking.
How do I know all these people are telling the truth?
Well... I don't. But if you look at it logically,
Everyone lying seems even more irrational than if
they're actually telling the truth.
I mean, why lie about gold teeth?
Especially when most people just think you're nuts.
Why would someone go around sprinkling gold dust on
random unsuspecting people or their bibles?
Why would these people lie about manna?
The obvious answer is to simply try and trick people.
But to what end?
No one's trying to sell these gemstones.
No one's making money off of gold teeth or gold dust.
It's something that helps us get in touch with
the importance of being childlike.
You know, unless you become like little children
You cannot even enter into the Kingdom of God.
And so, you know just like Luke chapter 10 there,
we don't want to be too sophisticated,
these things are hidden
from the wise and learned and revealed to little children.
And I don't think you have to throw your brains away
and be gullible and all that kind of stuff, but I think
we're expected to have faith in God and believe that
nothing's impossible with Him, and we just say
well hey, heaven's streets are paved with gold.
What's the big deal if God puts gold in your mouth?
It's all in heaven, isn't it?
The gates of pearl, and the jewels and gem stones
all through the walls and you know, on and on.
Sometimes things that happen are weird.
But one must remember that the word weird
and the word normal
only make sense within a framework.
It's only within a paradigm or a grid
that the word normal makes sense.
And it's only within a paradigm or a grid
that the word weird makes sense.
I think God has been giving myself
and the people in our church, a new normal.
Which means he's been reshaping our paradigm.
He's been giving us a new lens
by which to view reality through,
and we're finding this very very exciting
and very very moving,
and sometimes difficult and challenging.
If we have trouble with this stuff
it might just be because it's way outside
our grid of understanding.
But that doesn't necessarily make it not true.
If there was one thing God was showing me in all this
it's that as far as grids go,
He doesn't really have one.
Now, the signs and wonders that I had seen
obviously raised certain questions.
If they were real,
and I had no reason to believe that they weren't.
These people didn't want anything,
they weren't asking for money.
They just wanted people to know how amazing God is.
Then I had some adjusting to do in my own personal theology.
I guess I always knew miracles happened, but I always thought
they were simple, clean things
that didn't challenge me in any way.
But then, when I look at the life of Jesus,
He challenged everyone's way of thinking,
especially the religious people.
But more than being willing to accept a God who is
more unpredictable and, quite frankly, more fun than
I had ever imagined Him being, was the
nagging question that now consumed my every thought.
Could there possibly be more to this Christian life than
what I'd always known?
Could there be more to it than simply going to church,
trying to be a good person, and trying to talk people into
believing in Jesus?
Could the power of God actually be expected of me?
Well we've been seeing some great signs.
and how mighty are his wonders.
A sign will make you wonder sometimes.
Jesus certainly didn't die,
and go through all his suffering,
so we could do church.
Now let's face it, he had more in mind
than us meeting once a week and tithing.
Jesus made a very profound statement,
many, but one in particular, he said,
"You will do the same works that I have done,
"and even greater."
Either he is a liar
or he's telling the truth.
What is not normal in the North American church
and the western church, is going to become normal.
Where ordinary people
openly display the raw power of God.
So these miracles, signs, and wonders
and stepping out in faith and sharing with people
aren't for the "superstars" but it's for the normal believer
it's for the average believer.
So this is Chris Overstreet and he's talking about something
I kept running into over and over again
with each person I met on this journey.
We're called to power.
I realized I was now looking
for people who actually act on what they believe:
that God is a God of power,
and He's called us to live our lives accordingly.
Now this was radical thinking for me
and it required a radical shift in my perceptions of God.
I needed to see and hear how this worked in real life.
I needed someone
to testify.
I believe He's about ready to do something spectacular.
It's not going to be a few select people
that have gifts of miracles and gifts of healings.
It's going to be Messiah in us the hope of glory.
I had a really bad sinus.
It was hurting me really bad, and God just released...
released it while we were just shouting
What happened?
Well last night God healed my eyes.
About a year ago I took a trip and when I came home
I wasn't able to turn my neck the full way...
Or look behind me on my left side,
and now I have full range of motion.
Hi, my knee was broke three years ago
and it healed incorrectly and crooked and the doctor
said he couldn't even fix it with surgery
but it's perfect I can kneel
Look at that! The doctor said what?
He said he couldn't even fix it with surgery.
I had chondromalacia in both kneecaps
the cartilage is soft, it hurts, it crackles when I walk
it hurts, I couldn't leave my apartment for about six months.
And now God has healed me so I can dance and leap and pray
and kneel and walk and run!
The rotator cuff in my right arm is healed.
Did you feel something happen?
No! I couldn't do things. If I did, it would hurt!
You couldn't do that? -No!
Raise your hand up again.
Thank you Jesus for healing.
Hallelujah!
I've had two things happen.
First of all, my jaw was out of place
and it went back in place.
-Did you feel it click back in place?
Yes I could feel it click and everything feels normal.
And then 14 years ago this month, October 22
I had neck surgery and it was quite extensive
And right after it I was in an automobile accident and I've had
fourteen years of chronic neck pain.
And it's gone! I can move my neck!
Thank you Jesus! Look at that!
I can't believe it! It's unbelievable!
God is moving in power today
and rather than trying to tell Him
how He should do it, and say,
"Look I'll accept this, but on my terms."
Why not just say, "I'll take this on any terms,
"so long as it's you Lord."
And let Him do it His way?
and so his way can be,
using flamboyant teenagers
who really don't know all that much perhaps
but they're going for it and God's using them.
And He loves to do that!
He loves to take the least likely,
sometimes the least qualified,
he uses the foolish things,
according to 1 Corinthians Chapter 1
to confound the wise.
If anyone right now needs healing in your body
for anything just come over here
Don't care about what people think
If you need healing in your body for anything
come over here right now.
I don't care if it's a bad back, a sore shoulder,
allergies, your ankles, your knees,
whatever it is, don't be afraid.
God loves you so much.
This is Jason Westerfield.
I visited him at his home in New Haven, CT
because I had heard he was radical for Jesus
I wasn't prepared for just how radical he was.
We went to the campus of Yale University.
Our one goal?
To find people for God to heal.
It didn't take long.
Even though you're waiting for disability
if you were to be healed in your mind, would you be
more happy with that than a few little bucks?
If I was what?
If you were well in your mind?
Would you be more happy with that,
than getting a few bucks? Even if it means
you couldn't get money for disability?
Absolutely, and you know what the thing is?
I'm on medication,
but we keep switching it
from medication,
to medication,
to medication.
Yeah cause they don't know quite what it is.
So how do you know?
Do you want to be well from that though?
Why? Do you have some kind of an idea or..?
Yeah, I do.
Do you want to be well of that?
I saw it on you right when you walked up.
You did, huh?
If you want to be well of that I'll pray for you right now.
I'm on my knees every morning and night.
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior absolutely
but Satan has been tormenting your mind
and causing you to go like this
and I'm just asking you, do you want that to go?
Yeah
cause also it chokes you up in your breathing
and sometimes your knee, right here...
How do you know all that?
So just stand right there okay?
Father God in Jesus's name
I want to first start with her head
Lord I just cover her in your blood, she loves you.
Holy Spirit, I pray your kingdom to come
Holy Spirit come upon her right now in Jesus name
let the Kingdom of God come upon her right now
I'll ask for a wind to come in the natural
and start coming around her head
and I just pray for full-blown deliverance
from all witchcraft, curses, and everything
I speak blessing over you right now
and I command healing into your right knee
right now in Jesus name, I command healing
underneath your kneecap and strength
and all through the back of your spine
all the way up and I pray the blessing of God
right now I break the power of the spirit
of infirmity, affliction, and pain
I command it to go in your sinuses
I pray for healing right now to open up
In Jesus's name in your nose,
heaviness go, I pray for the fire of God
begin to come now in Jesus's name
see all the wind is blowing around you now
and the pain in the lower right side of your back
I pray for healing in there right now...there it is
Go ahead and take a deep breath and move around
Take a deep breath and move around.
I could feel chills when you did that
I felt chills
all over me and sinuses you hit everything
every single thing wrong with me you hit.
the sinuses, the knee, the right knee,
the degenerative disc disease, all of that.
God loves you and what happened is
His Kingdom just came upon you. by the power of the Holy Spirit.
and God just brought salvation to you
you were forgiven, but he just brought
deliverance and healing
so now God wants to restore a joy to you,
and He even wants to establish and reorder your equilibrium
and even your hearing so it doesn't wobble...
Now keep in mind, we just met this lady.
She walked up to us looking for bus fare.
Jason prayed for her and she walked away blessed.
Right after that, Jason saw a guy on crutches.
Thank you Lord, there's our man, come on dog.
Hey excuse me guys, what happened?
I got hit by a car.
Oh did you? Is it your back or your legs?
My leg.
I'll just be absolutely honest with you, okay?
We were just with this lady and praying for her
just like five seconds ago
and the Lord just healed her hands and stuff.
healed her back and her knees
and I turned around and I saw you,
and the Lord said,"Go pray for him right now."
God loves you
and people have been praying for you
Can I pray for you right now?
You wanna be better, right?
Yeah, which one is it?
My right leg.
Your right leg?
Yeah.
Where's it at?
My knee right here
And you wanna be better, right?
Yes sir.
Yeah you don't have to do anything, just receive
like a gift on Christmas, you just kinda take it in
I'm just gonna pray for you right now, okay?
Father God in Jesus's name
I pray for complete healing in Jesus's name
that he won't need the crutches
he won't need anything.
All pain go right now in Jesus name.
let your grace come and your Spirit come right now.
I command strength
and healing, I command this to operate
and work and function in the name of Jesus
loosen the spirit of might in here right now
in Jesus name
More Lord, complete strength.
Go ahead and move it around.
What's going on?
It feels... it's kinda the same, but...
Yeah? Let's pray again.
It's getting a little looser in there?
Yeah
Yeah, cause something's happening right now.
We'll just keep praying for 100%.
Go ahead and try it now.
Start walking on it.
Just keep walking...there it is.
Thank you Lord
more strength, more strength, more strength
More Lord, thank you for my brother
God thank you for him
thank you for my brother.
Thank you for wholeness. Thank you for health.
Thank you for life.
(laughing) That's cool isn't it?
How's it doing?
That's so cool, isn't it?
Thank you very much
Go like this..
on your toes..
(laughing)
What happened? What's going on?
He don't feel any pain or nothing no more.
I'm coming right now, this guy was praying for me.
Here let me see these a second.
Walk right to that crooked line and come right back here.
You'll find it's better.
It's totally different.
Kinda move it like this.
How you doing? What's going on with you?
Do you feel light?
Yeah
That's cool
It's hard to find any city Jesus went to
where miracles didn't happen, even the one that was noted
as being the city of great unbelief,
even there, healings took place.
I was in the United States about a year ago.
And there were two small children
who wanted to heal the sick
and there was one lady,
and she said her heart,
it was pumping out the bad stuff,
taking in the good stuff
and she was dying.
And I got these two 8 year olds,
to just put their hand up to the Lord Jesus and say,
"Can I have a brand new heart for this lady?"
and they put their hands straight on her chest,
and when they took their hands away,
they had absolute perfect
fingerprints of gold dust across this lady's chest.
She got healed of diabetes,
she got healed of back trouble,
she got healed of 59 pounds in weight.
She got a brand new heart.
She's in her sixties.
She went to the doctor and the doctor said,
"I do not know what has happened,
"but you've got the heart of a 30 year old athlete,
that is very fit."
And it was just through two,
children of eight years old.
One of the most amazing miracles
we had ever been involved in
or had ever witnessed
actually wasn't something we even prayed for.
I was speaking on a Friday night at the end of a conference
called the International Healing Conference
and we had taken all of the speakers
There was about six or eight of us and some of the
leaders from the conference and we formed this line
kind of like a gauntlet, and we had all the people
about 1000-1200 people
come through the line, and we just laid hands on them
prayed for them, just prayed that God would release to them
the grace to minister to the sick
to see people get well.
So as we're praying for people,
this young lady goes through the line
that had her eyeball shot out with a BB gun.
They had replaced the front of the eye
with a piece of eye from a cadaver, a dead person.
Then they took the eyeball, they filled it with silicone,
and then they took a blacked out contact lens,
put it over the center,
so it would have the appearance of an eyeball
just in the daily goings of life,
it wouldn't look odd.
And as she went through the line,
when she got through she thought she could see shadows
and light rays and,
and because of the blacked out contact lens
she could see something going on but wasn't sure.
When she went home, her mother helped her remove the lens
and found out she had a brand new eyeball.
One of the most significant things
I've ever heard of or seen
John Wesley said "Set yourself on fire,
"for all to come and watch you burn."
and I think some of it is
creating a lifestyle where we deliberately
set our cold, broken, stony hearts
before the fire of His love.
Now when you make a movie like this,
you begin to hear about things happening around the world
that don't get discussed much on popular news media.
For example, this place...
Bethel Church in Redding, California
You've already heard a bit from their pastor,
but I went out there to check out
a school of ministry they have
where the students' idea of a good time is to go to the ER
on Friday nights to try and pray for someone to be healed
before the doctor saw them.
These students were some of the most radical people
I've ever met
About a couple of weeks ago, I took my little brother out
on what we call a treasure hunt. Which is where,
we'll pray beforehand and we'll just say
Lord, we're going to go specifically to a mall
or someplace out in the public and we'll say
show us names of people,
what they look like, maybe what we can pray for
so we did that, and then we went into this mall,
and my brother had gotten a clue to go into a
video game/role playing game store
and so we kind of found that one out
I had gotten this picture of somebody
with this thing on their arm
where it wraps over their finger,
and I had thought it was,
one of those things that girls wear, where they pull the things
up over their arm, I don't even know what that is.
And so we're in this store, and then all of a sudden
this kid's in the background, and he's playing whatever
this game, this role playing chess game thing
and he has a cast on his hand, so I'm like, well that's a good
place to start, so me and my brother walked over to him
and sort of boldly interrupted his game
and I wondered if his friend that he's playing this game
with is going to get all irritated or anything
and I just said, Hey I noticed you had a cast,
What happened? Was it an accident?
and he was like, "I fell on my skateboard."
"I sprained my wrist really badly."
And I said, "Well, Jesus can heal you,
can we pray for you right now?
because we felt like we were supposed to come in here
specifically to pray for people."
And he said,"Okay." and so he took his thing off
We asked him if we could pray for his hand
and I just touched it and I just said
In Jesus name I just release healing power,
and Lord just thank you that you died for our healing
and for our sins.
and then I said test it out, and he's all...
"Yeah, it's better."
and I was like,"Well, what do you mean it's better?"
Like, on a scale of 1-10, zero being no change
and ten being like, fully fully better, I'm like, where is it?
He's like, "It's like a ten." and I was like, "It's a ten?"
And he's like, "Yeah!"
and I'm all, "Dude! You just got healed!"
And then he was like, "I know!"
He was all like, he didn't know how to respond almost.
We were on the streets,
and there was a man that was begging
he was mute.
He was mute from birth.
And he was begging on the streets of Skid Row in L.A.
A real rough part of town.
We begin to pray for the guy and...
he was just, "uhh uhhh" just kind of groaning and stuff
But we asked him and said, "Say Jesus."
and he began to speak, and we commanded him speak
and we commanded healing to come,
and he began to speak
and his first words were "Jesus"
Just this past weekend I was praying for someone's finger
that was completely crooked,
and it had no feeling in the finger
and I put my hand on it
and I started releasing the Kingdom of God
I started praying in the name of Jesus
just healing power to flow,
and the guy's finger popped right back in.
In my hand,
and he started crying and said
I haven't had feeling in my finger for six years.
Not too long ago I was out shopping
and I ended up buying a drink at this place
where there was this girl
and I was talking to her
and I asked her if she needed prayer for anything,
and she told me that she had a dislocated shoulder
So I prayed for her shoulder real quick
and I prayed that God would show her how much He loved her
and I asked her how she was doing
and she said there wasn't any difference right then.
Prayed again and there actually wasn't any difference then,
so I left...
wondering why the person didn't get healed,
but that night I talked to someone
who had talked to her later
and found out that that night as she was lying in bed,
her shoulder instantly snapped back into place
and it freaked her out so much...
Now, as I sat there and listened to story after story after story
Eight hours in all.
I began to wonder if what I was hearing about was supposed
to be the average Christian life.
I mean these kids were out of their minds for God.
Had I been missing something all these years?
I came out of a background where
I had never even heard of the Holy Spirit
until about four years ago.
Like, they just didn't talk about it.
And now I read through the Bible,
and they have whole books
on what people do through the Holy Spirit.
How can you miss this? It's right there,
you believe in Jesus, and that's His book right there
If you don't believe that, do you believe him?
I just thought I had to do good things.
I thought that I had to be super nice
to every single person in the world
I thought that I had to go to church
and I had to sing in the choir
I had to be a part of the things that were happening.
It was all about what I did
and not about,
bringing Jesus home with me.
Like, he just wasn't at home.
You know, He just wasn't in the grocery store.
He was just at church, but my perspective of who He was
was that He's my God, and He saved me,
but I didn't know anything about hearing him speak to me
or seeing him move.
The miraculous should be a common everyday thing in life
because if Jesus said to follow Him and do the things He did
a lot of people look at that as like
It's just to try to not do bad things and to pray
it seems like it's almost ignored
that Jesus did miracles all the time
and He healed the sick and He raised the dead
and then if He said to follow me,
it would probably be what He was saying is also
to do the same miracles that He did
and to walk in the same way He did,
and it should just be a common thing in our life,
even though it's not seen that way by most Christians.
And some people say, oh Christianity is boring.
and I really feel it's because
they haven't seen the full potential
of what a Christian can be.
The full gospel,
and really doing what Jesus called us to do
How can it be boring? You know?
You see someone get out of a wheelchair and you're like,
"Man, I'm bored"?
No! That doesn't happen!
The real reason why a lot of people don't step out
and do the works of Jesus Christ
is because they have not been taught that they can do it.
They have not been taught that the reality is
the same Spirit that rose Christ Jesus from the grave
lives inside of them.
But the Holy Spirit is imprisoned
in unbelieving believers
and the Holy Spirit longs to get out.
To touch somebody, to make impact.
One of the most impressive things about these students
was their level of boldness.
They didn't care how they looked,
they just wanted God to touch people.
For example, it's Friday night and these kids are all gonna
hit the streets for the Lord.
First they listen.
Then they write.
Then, they compare notes.
This was evangelism unlike anything I've ever seen before.
We don't have an agenda. We're not handing out tracts.
We're not soliciting people to come to our group
or anything like that.
And so you're filled with so many awkward moments
because you're like...
There's so much faith, like you're just going...
but you don't exactly know where you're going
you don't exactly know who you're gonna meet
but then it's just like, as you go, and you step out,
things just start connecting, like the Holy Spirit just starts
connecting the dots, you know?
And then all of a sudden you find yourself in this God moment
this encounter,
and healings break out and salvations
Something happens every time we pray.
Something is going to happen.
Sometimes it's invisible,
and sometimes it happens after we have left.
So our job is just to step out
and see what God is up to and do it;
and just look into what the Holy Spirit is up to.
Hey, dude, my word of knowledge,
I knew it was Coldstone but it was just the word stone.
Look at the sign.
That's so funny. I knew it was Coldstone,
but I only got the word stone for location
because the sign's out.
That's so funny.
I do need prayer
For what?
And then she had to move to her grandparents
and while living there she got saved
and she's been saved the last three months.
And she totally needed a lot of encouragement
she tried to move in back with her dad
her stepdad, but he totally still had..
he didn't like her anymore
and didn't trust her
and we just totally got to prophesy into her life
and everything we said was right on
-Very cool. -Yeah
And it's cool because she had a green sweater,
and it's Starbucks and it's Coldstone
and it was totally a divine encounter.
-Awesome -Yeah
It's good.
And there's two groups.
There's the group that is seeing this happen
on a regular basis
and then we have groups of people
that have never seen this
and it's just hard for them to even believe
that this is still happening.
They've been raised in such an environment
of skepticism and unbelief that for them,
Nazareth would be an improvement
where Jesus just healed a few sick people
I joked with our folks
at the beginning of the healings breaking out
I said "Well, we've almost arrived to the city of Nazareth,
"the city of unbelief"
cause we've got a few sick people healed
I just tell people, listen
this thing is worth paying any price for.
Go wherever you need to go,
Stop believing that what you've seen
or haven't seen
doesn't exist just because it didn't start with you
and didn't start with your church.
Do whatever is necessary, pay any price,
and go to where it's going, and be willing to learn.
Don't go as the skeptic to disprove
Say God, "If it's in the book,
take me places where it's happening."
And then pay any price to get there and watch what happens.
My grandfather used to say that God
is only as big as your head,
and he meant that we often put limits
on how big or powerful God really is
by our own issues.
It's funny,
but I always used to look at something like this and think,
"That's great. I'm glad someone is out there doing that."
and I would somehow feel good about myself
even though I didn't do anything.
But now I began to wonder...
Am I just called to talk about God?
Or is there more being asked of me here?
Could it possibly be that my God is too small?
If we're in Christ, all of us have the Holy Spirit.
All of us have Christ living inside of us,
the hope of Glory
All of us have God
communing with us, so there's no difference
in the kingdom between those
who go after the supernatural and those who don't.
We all have the same resource.
We all have the same access.
We're all sons and daughters, we're all children.
And therefore, we have access
and have been given the same authority, as his children,
to release what's in the kingdom.
My heart's desire is for people to meet the God of miracles.
The purpose of the miracle is to meet the God of miracles.
The miracle is just the means
to realize that God in the invisible realm is real
is personal, and cares about me as an individual.
That's the whole deal.
The supernatural should be so natural.
That God created us to be His very friend on earth.
in Him we move and live and have our being
especially in Mozambique, Africa
because we don't have entertainment,
like we don't have television, we don't have malls,
we have absolutely no outside input.
Like, the supernatural becomes the entertainment
cause God is the most exciting, captivating being in the world.
It's the normal Christian life,
and we're seeing that miracles really are normal,
and Jesus was the most normal Christian in the Bible
and he modeled for us what life could be like.
Could it be true?
Could this be the normal Christian life?
Why didn't anyone tell me?
My faith had been buried in unbelief for years.
But now something was changing.
Something was stirring inside of me.
Something that had laid dormant for nearly my entire life.
Up to this point,
I had been dealing with stories and miracles
from where I live, America.
It was only a matter of time, then,
that I would begin to hear about
what was happening beyond America's borders.
And the things I heard
were beyond anything I could imagine.
A new world was unfolding before me.
A world on fire for God.
One report that's been really well documented
is the one of a monk
in Myanmar, which used to be called Burma
who died and was dead for three days
and they were getting ready to cremate him
it was at the end of the funeral
and suddenly he sat up in his casket
and he said this,
I'll read it so I can get the words straight...
"It's all a lie."
"I saw our ancestors burning,
and being tortured in some kind of fire."
"I also saw Buddha and many other Buddhist holy men,"
"...and they were all in a sea of fire."
"We must listen to the Christians,
they are the only ones who know the truth."
And this story has been
duplicated and handed around all over
the country there.
And in fact it's a crime to be in possession of
the tape of what he said.
He's seen hundreds of his former fellow Buddhist monks
come to Christ simply because of his testimony.
Remember this guy?
Hostage negotiator, works closely with the Pentagon?
Well, he's also the official Anglican Priest
over all of Iraq.
And he's seen God doing some amazing things there.
He also has church services in a few...
interesting places.
Now, if you think that's amazing
and are wondering why you haven't heard that on the news,
listen to where he has his American services in Baghdad:
I prayed over a three year old child.
and he went straight to pray for the sick.
I wouldn't have gone to all the blind people in the meeting
but he did.
And he had 20 blind and almost blind people totally healed.
And I've never seen that through my prayers.
But he just went...
as a child,
"If Jesus is going to heal people,
he might as well heal the worst."
And he went straight to the blind
and the glasses that were this thick
It was amazing.
And it was an education as well.
Todd Bentley of Fresh Fire Ministries
a healing evangelist, was partnering with Iris
and they were going to do this joint feeding program
and Iris wanted to feed Malawi during a famine for 4 months,
and so I went on this crusade with Todd
and in that meeting that night,
the Lord Himself came and and He walked through the crowds
and everywhere that Jesus walked, it's on tape,
people parted to the right and the left
and they were instantly healed.
Did you hear what she said?
"It's on tape."
I was able to get ahold of the footage...
and... well... here it is.

And then, there's China.
Few places in the world are seeing
the explosion of God's power
like the underground church in China is experiencing.
And in the last 60 years, China's communist government
has done its best to wipe Christianity off the map.
But if you look at church history
persecution only made the church to grow.
So that Christians grew from perhaps a million in 1949
to 100 million right now in 2007.
And persecution was a reason, but another reason
was because of the work of the Holy Spirit.
And so it was mostly in these house churches
what they used to call "underground" churches
they're not really physically underground,
sometimes they do meet in caves,
but they're just not registered, they're not legal
But in the last two years,
the policy has really changed in China.
Where they don't recognize them
but they don't persecute them so much
Mostly they don't persecute Christians
but they persecute preachers
people that're going around and starting churches all the time.
Let me stop it here and introduce this man.
This is Dennis Balcombe,
and he's been a missionary in China for the last 40 years.
He obviously has some exciting stories to tell,
but he actually offered me something far more valuable.
He supplied me with a treasure trove of footage
from deep in the heart of the underground church in China.
What you are about to see...
is some of the rarest footage on the planet.
In this church, the people wake up at 4:30am
to come together for two hours to pray and worship
They do this every day.
This church meets in the only place they're safe.
A cave.
This church meets on a farm.
Far away from prying eyes.
Here's an example of an underground church outreach.
The people sitting are Christians.
The people who are standing are not.
This particular preacher was once crippled,
But was healed when someone prayed for her.
She now preaches the good news of Jesus
to anyone who will listen.
In this particular meeting
Over 1,000 people became Christians.
This is a church service attended by over 6,000 people.
And while that may sound like a lot
You have to understand this one church
has over 300,000 members.
This is often how churches operate in China.
They start by getting everyone's attention
using drama or music.
Then they pray for the sick.
This has become common practice in the Chinese church
and for good reason.
As Dennis put it,
"I've seen AIDs patients completely delivered recently."
"A lot of different healings.
"And the healings and the miracles,"
"are one reason that many people come to the Lord."
Here, Christians cast out demons from an 18 year old girl.
She's now a preacher.
In Shanghai alone, there are over 3,000 house churches
just like this one.
One thing Dennis pointed out to me was that
most of the underground churches in China
are actually led by young people.
These kids have all come out of the communist system
and they want nothing to do with it.
They only want to spread the love of Jesus
to everybody they meet.
This is a music school.
Well, that's the cover anyway.
It's really a training school
for students who want to be pastors
The government thinks they're simply
learning to play instruments.
One thing I quickly realized about the Chinese church
is that it's a lot different from the American one.
For one thing, they think a four hour sermon is short.
More than that is how different their services looked from ours
I mean, see for yourself what happens when a desperate people
plug into a powerful God.
This is a Sunday school class.
What's the big deal about that you ask?
None of these kids' parents are Christians.
They send their kids here
so they will learn to be good children.
Nearly all of these children
will eventually lead their parents to the Lord.
In this church service
It's 120 degrees inside the building.
The people meet for twelve hours straight.
Dennis told me one story about a time
he went to a very remote village in China to preach.
He was led into a large room
where the people were packed so closely together
that he had his back to the wall
and could reach out and touch the row in front of him.
Everyone stood. There was no room to sit.
He asked how long he should preach for
and they told him, "From 8:30 to 7:00 at night."
Then they asked him if it wasn't too much trouble
could you come back tomorrow
and preach from 8:30 to 7:00 again?
And then, very sheepishly,
they asked again
"If you'd be so kind,"
"could you come back the day after that?"
"and preach from 8:30 to 7:00?"
He asked how often he should take breaks
and they told him not to stop.
"The people will wait."
Then he asked them what he should preach on.
"Everything." They replied.
"from Genesis to Revelation."
And then it dawned on him.
These people had no Bibles.
Well, very common is miracles of healing.
Like anywhere in church history.
But it's not particularly in church services,
like we have healing conferences.
It's when they're out evangelizing.
There's miracles of divine guidance.
There's miracles of nature,
like an example there's a field where all of the crops are dry
except for the Christian field.
And their field has beautiful crops
and they say when it rained, the rain came on their field.
And in times of flood,
the Lord would protect the villages of the Christians
when all of the other villages were destroyed.
And I think if the Western church would stand up
and really preach the gospel, not get involved about abortion
and gay rights and these...
just preach Jesus Christ.
The devil doesn't want to hear Jesus Christ preached,
They're not on any social issue.
They don't even talk about the government.
They might pray for the government.
We don't have this thing about
You know, the nation is going to be converted
The government's going to be converted.
They simply preach the gospel.
And persecution comes when you really preach the gospel
and tell people to repent and turn to the Lord.
And I think that it's the persecution
and the suffering that has really made the church strong.
Back when I was filming in churches...
I met someone who would change my life forever.
Her name is Heidi Baker.
Heidi and her husband Rolland
invited me to come out to their home in Mozambique
to see what God was up to.
Suddenly I was going to Africa.
And my whole world was once again about to be rearranged.
This is Francis.
Francis was dead once.
But as you can see here, he's now very much alive.
Before I'd even reached Mozambique
I met Francis here,
who came to see me at the airport in Johannesburg.
Iris Ministries, which is where I was heading
has seen nearly 100 people raised from the dead
in the last 7 years.
Francis is one of them.
Here is his story.
Somebody finds an old car,
and they get the body to the hospital
and Supressa goes with them they don't know what to do.
They get to the hospital.
and they killed him about 11:00
and about 12:15 Supressa is praying,
The whole entire conference is praying.
They don't know what else to do, the whole place is praying.
12:15 at night at the hospital
Francis starts to breath and he comes back to life.
(cheers)
Now I originally thought that was the end of the story.
But it's not. In fact,
it's not even the best part of the story.
(clapping)
-Hallelujah
But he's in a...
He's just in a complete mess.
By now his eyes are swollen shut,
his mouth is swollen shut.
He can't talk, he's just in a total physical mess.
Looks like it's going to take him,
just ages and ages to recover.
But he's alive.
There's a whole gang of these guys
and the police later in the morning finally finds 1 of them.
And they're so proud of themselves,
they call the church Come on down here,
press charges, sign papers,
we'll get this guy in jail right now.
But...
Last night, when Francis came back to life,
just before they put him out for the night.
he managed to croak out, between his swollen lips
He managed to croak out "Forgive them."
It's the only thing he could say,
the only thing he did say was just forgive them.
And that got back to the church.
So when the police called to come down
to press charges and sign papers
The whole church agrees we're not going to do that.
We're just going to forgive him.
The police are really upset.
This is not how to handle crime in South Africa.
And they keep demanding that somebody come down
and press charges
but the entire church with one voice said,"No."
we're not going to do that.
As soon as they forgave this guy,
and told the police absolutely no,
a phone call came from the hospital
that Francis was totally and completely healed.
(cheering)
Not a scratch on him, not a bruise on him.
He could see and talk perfectly normally.
There was 100% nothing wrong with him.
There's no reason to keep him overnight until Monday.
So they told the church to come get your guy.
Right now.
Then he goes down to get the guy out of jail
who killed him the night before.
Well, he did become a Christian.
And then he went to bible school.
And today he can't stop telling everyone he meets
about how God changed the heart of a murderer,
through one act of forgiveness. By a dead guy.
(singing)
Mozambique
The poorest nation in the world.
A 90% unemployment rate.
A history of war and violence.
A starving people.
And it is here
quite literally at the end of the earth
where love shines brightest.
Seven thousand orphans.
twelve thousand mouths to feed every day.
Nearly eight thousand churches planted in the last seven years.
Thousands of people miraculously healed.
Over eighty people raised from the dead.
One woman in the dirt.
I first heard of Heidi Baker from Bill Johnson.
During my interview with him, he dropped this on me.
Whether it's in Mozambique where
friends of ours there have resurrections on a normal basis.
The healing of the blind,
I have a friend there that goes to a village,
the way she presents the gospel
to a village that has never heard the gospel before
She walks in and she says, "Bring me your deaf."
And they bring all the deaf,
and she points to one and she says
"Do you people know this man?"
Everyone says "Yes."
she says,"Is he deaf, do you know for certain he's deaf?"
"Yes, he's deaf!"
She lays hands on him, God opens the ears
And this city, this community,
this little village becomes open to the gospel.
And village after village the entire village is converted
Simply because Jesus shows his love.
To where people are healed of deafness and blindness, etc.
Now this takes some serious spiritual guts.
Travel to a remote village...
Get the people to come by singing and dancing...
Show the Jesus film...
For many, this is the first movie they've ever seen
and they often yell warnings to Jesus when he's on trial.
After that,
tell the people who Jesus is and how much he loves them
then prove it by healing the deaf and the blind.
I'd never seen anything like it.
I'd never even heard of anything like it.
But here it was, right in front of my eyes.
A woman from Laguna Beach, California,
with a Ph.D. in systematic theology
from King's College in London
bringing a boldness of faith to a desperate people
that, quite frankly, took my breath away.
A lot of people I know are just
uneasy at the thought of miracles
and at the thought of people being raised from the dead
they really start squirming.
It's just so freaky they just, it's just...
I don't even understand,
because I so love the presence of God
that the closer He is, the more at peace I am.
If you're not at peace with God, you're not gonna be at peace
with a powerful miracle next to you.
We have incredible miracles.
I'm thinking in Portuguese, milagres.
We have amazing miracles here.
The deaf hear, and the blind see, and the crippled walk,
and the dead are raised, and the kids taught me
I mean, they're the ones that pray for the sick.
We pray together, I mean, I just get to go with them.
Children are... you have a nice monkey with you now
Children are totally dependent.
They can't do it by themselves.
If we want to know about the kingdom
we have to become like a child.
And be dependent and know we can't do it.
Poor in spirit, child-like.
We have to know that we depend on the Father
and we just like hold His hand all the time.
All children believe that God does miracles.
All children believe that God can open deaf ears
and blind eyes and take away cancer.
All children believe it
until an adult teaches them that God can't do it.
So I call up little children in the West
cause they're not ruined, yet.
Little children, especially, aren't ruined
by unbelief and by materialism.
Little children have these pure hearts and the Kingdom of God
breaks forth for them in Korea, in Brazil, in America
Canada, Australia, Europe, kids are seeing the power of God
I had started this journey looking for people
who don't just talk about what they believe,
but who act on what they believe
with a confidence in a God who is big,
powerful, and loves us all immeasurably.
And here were a bunch of little kids
who perform miracles everyday simply because they love God
and know that He loves them,
no playstations
no cartoons, no toys even
Just God. And look at what is possible
when God becomes your sole purpose in life.

So we went to the bush.
We went to a Muslim village
that had never heard the name of Jesus before.
A village of mudhuts and dirty feet.
Where the women walked 10 hours to simply get water.
We danced, we sang, we watched a film about Jesus
and Heidi preached.
Before the night began, God told Heidi
not to pray for anyone until,
"the deaf woman came forward." so she called for her
Over and over again for 20 minutes.
She said later that if the woman never came forward
we were all going home.
But then, out of the darkness, she came.
This woman. This woman is deaf.
Her name is Alima,
and we've been waiting to find one deaf person.
So we're going to pray for her now.
You have just witnessed a miracle.
An entire village testified that this woman was deaf.
But now, she hears.
For the first time in her life, she will hear her baby cry.
She will hear her child speak her name.
And she will know that God loves her.
There were many more miracles that happened that week.
Including another young deaf girl healed.
In Mozambique, when Heidi and her children pray for the deaf
nearly every one is healed.
It's truly incredible to see.
I think I do, the first thing I'd say is
I'm just one little lady in the dirt.
I'm one little lady in the dirt. Loving children...
Loving God one day at a time.
I'm not complicated. I'm not special.
I just, I just feel like God said love
and stop and love.
And He also told me that everything you do
is holy unto Him.
So when I'm holding...
When I'm holding a child, it's holy holy holy.
When I'm underwater in worship it's holy holy holy.
When I'm walking it's holy holy holy.
When I take another child
whose parents have died. That's holy.
When I'm sweeping the floor it's holy.
When I'm in a staff meeting it's holy.
I believe that the western church
has compartmentalized things.
And the Lord says let me into everything!
Everything we do is for Him.
So I don't just pray five hours a day.
I pray every waking moment of the day.
It's like breathing to me.
Praying and breathing are the same thing.
So I say just abide in Him.
And the more you abide in Him and you feel His love
and you let Him show you who you are,
you're not an orphan, no one's an orphan, you know?
Then you start feeling this fullness
that comes from living inside His heart.
And you're just happy.
We don't chase miracles, they chase us.
We preach the straight gospel.
We like miracles because we like God.
When you love somebody you like what they do.
Miracles by themselves don't thrill people with God.
It didn't always thrill people with Jesus,
when he was on earth.
The fact is, that a miracle by itself
does not accomplish what God is after.
Miracles demonstrate that God is real.
People can see evidence that God is here
His fingerprint is on us
"The finger of God has come upon you," as Jesus said
The kingdom of God has come upon you. Now what do we do?
Now that we know that God is real
Now that we know He's done this,
how do we respond?
He's in pain.
Many many years, his whole body is in pain.
All of his chest down.
Shortly after my visit to Mozambique,
I found myself in Paris.
With Africa and the needs of the world
still ringing in my ears
I made my way into the Cathedral of Notre Dame.
It was majestic and incredible.
Exactly what you'd expect in a monument to the glory of God.
I thought surely this place is worthy of God's glory.
But then, on my way out...
I noticed something behind one of the pillars.
and as soon as I saw it, I knew.
This small, beat up box gave God more glory
than all the stained glass in the world.
This is an orphanage in Bulgaria.
Cameras are normally forbidden here.
And I quickly understood why.
Most of these children were abandoned by their parents,
deemed too unlovely to keep.
But we had accompanied some people
who wanted to show them that they were loved.
It was both heartbreaking and hopeful.
Terrible, yet beautiful.
I joined a team of people from around the world
Led by this family. Georgian, Winnie, and Yana Banov
who were traveling around Eastern Europe
on a mission to love.
Their main target?
The most hated people group in Europe.
Gypsies.
They have a reputation of being thieves
and beggars and deceivers
they'll make a scam, they travel
come through with carnival stuff and do something and then
before you know it, the whole village has been robbed
and the gypsies are gone.
These are the stories and the reputation has stuck
They're a very hated people group.
In Europe they're a problem.
They're poorly educated.
They seem to live in congregated areas, and we call them hoods
And we look at the situation like this,
that we are no different.
Our hearts were no different than the gypsies'.
Who isn't a liar? Who isn't a thief?
Who isn't corrupt? Who isn't a scoundrel?
We started in the village of Kazanluk, Bulgaria.
Where we fed the people their favorite meal
Sheep fat stew and watermelon.
There is more excitement about watermelon than anything
I don't know why,
but, it's chaos when it comes to watermelon.
Last year it was over there, and we were stampeded.
Then we sang and danced with them into the night.
They would quickly turn it into a full on Gypsy party.
And that's the other thing I quickly learned about Gypsies.
They like to dance.
A lot.
(singing)
It was also here where I first encountered
what life was really like for people
who are universally hated.
This is a typical gypsy house.
Sometimes up to 12 people will live in a room this size.
Most cannot work, no one will hire them.
So their homes are literally crumbling around them.
But while all of Europe hates these people,
I quickly realized that God has very different feelings for them
This guy couldn't even stand up, he needed a new kidney.
Well, he just got one.
This woman had a tumor the size of a baseball
on the back of her head
that just shrunk down to nothing
This just happened five minutes before I began filming.
This woman was paralyzed on the left side of her body.
She's not anymore.
This woman's child can't walk.
So she forced her way to the front of the crowd.
Hoping for a miracle.
She got one.
But while the miracles were amazing and everything...
they weren't the thing that impressed me the most.
I mean, these people were outcasts
Everybody hated them.
But once they experienced the power of God
They were changed forever.
Like this place:
where the gypsies all live in boxcars
and are surrounded by filth.
Where the children pick through trash to find toys and food.
Where the village collectively
gives its best boxcar to be its church.
I thought they were different, but they're just like you or me.
I ask her,"Can we go inside?"
she said, "Just a second, I need to clean something."
I looked at these people and saw poverty and despair.
But they showed me something different.
These gypsies who were once thieves and scoundrels
had been transformed.
They had nothing, yet they gave freely.
At one service they scrounged together $140
to, in their words, "help those in need"
They had also been changed from the inside out.
This place is forgotten from anybody
But God does not forget.
The majority of them accept Jesus Christ as their savior.
The first testimony from the government
that they come and tell us that the crime came down.
Simple faith of God is here.
So many miracles happened that
year after year they know that if we pray for them
God will do something. I have so many testimonies
Every year they come.
In fact, we were here in May, and...
I'll show you in a minute, this lady,
she says, "Remember me?"
You laid hands on my kidney and my stones were gone.
I have no pain.
I go, "I don't remember, but praise the Lord."
This in, this like in June.
So there's always fresh...
fresh testimonies that pile up and just...
Makes everybody expect that when we come
all kinds of things happen.
Besides the fact that they have a church here
every single night.
That church where we ate
That's a building that has its church services every night
for almost twelve years now.
Every night.
In the mornings they go down there and pray
for us.
And at night, they just have a glory time every night
Three to four hours every night.
For ten days I visited with the gypsies of Turkey and Bulgaria.
The most hated people group in Europe.
I had been traveling the world
looking for displays of God's power
and I'd found them everywhere
The more I saw, the more normal it became.
And once it became normal
I was finally able to see the real truth.
This was a moment of discovery for me.
Heidi Baker had joined us in Turkey,
and here she was, praying for a Muslim woman
to receive sight in one of her eyes.
But she had to rely on the interpreter to communicate.
While Heidi simply wanted to love the woman and pray for her
the interpreter, who was a Turkish pastor
wanted to convert the woman first.
She doesn't accept Jesus as her Lord
Well, at least still pray for her
We'd like to pray for her anyway.
We'd like to pray for you anyway.
No problem, we'll pray for you.
We know, we know...
The struggle continued.
On one side, love with no obligations
On the other, religion with an agenda.
The difference couldn't have been clearer.
I understand -Heidi I'm telling her...
I'm telling her is that Jesus did the healing
not the others. -Yeah, because
tell her it's in the Koran -But she doesn't believe me
-In the Koran?
But you are loved. You're loved.
Heidi, I'm telling her that,
Jesus is your savior, your God is Jesus
and He's the one who's going to save you,
he's the one who's going to heal you
...but she keeps saying no, Mohammed, Mohammed
So illiterate, so stupid.
...merciful Jesus. You have to love them.
Because the only way to reach them is to love them.
Keep loving, keep loving, keep loving.
I know, but it's only through love.
But it's only through love.
You have to love them into the kingdom.
The truth is...
The power of God that resides within us
isn't just there for us to perform miracles.
Like Rolland Baker said,
Miracles demonstrate that God is real,
but it's love,
love that is the greatest power in the universe.
It's the reason Heidi can do what she does.
It's why God puts gold in our mouths
and throws jewels at our feet.
It's love that drives these students out into their city.
It's love that opens deaf ears and blind eyes.
It's love that raises the dead.
Love
It was always some vague cliché to me
but now I was beginning to see the wild,
overpowering, extravagant reality
of God's finger invading our lives.
God is calling all of us to a life of power.
But that power can only come through us humbling ourselves.
Setting aside our own fears and unbelief
and proving to the people around us
that God is real,
He's relevant
and He's not mad at you.
No matter who you are or where you're at.
All these people taught me that.
They don't empty themselves for a paycheck, or for fame
or even for their own satisfaction.
They die to themselves to love others because they realize
they can only keep what they're willing to give away.
God, let the things that are in heaven
become real here on earth.
Let your heaven invade this earth.
And so, we know that in heaven there'll be no illness.
There'll be no disease, there'll be no strife,
there'll be no suffering.
When we're asking,
"Let your kingdom come on Earth as it is in heaven,"
we're asking for those heavenly things to be real here on earth.
And they serve as manifestations of the Kingdom
Here and now.
The greatest sign as a believer is love.
Their love level and their faith level.
First, to love Jesus Christ with everything inside of them.
Secondly, to be able to love the people around them.
And it's the love of God and the compassion of God
that even draws us out to step out
and to be able to do these things.
The second thing is faith.
Faith, to be able to believe God
and who He says He is
and to be able to believe that
we can do what he says we can do.
I want to say to the western church
that the biggest miracle of all
is learning how to love.
And that, for me, seeing a child
transformed from darkness and pain,
from being abused, beaten, ***, thrown away
my biggest miracles are seeing their lives change and find joy.
And I just want to say to the Western church
that God is asking you to stop for one person every day
and love them. Don't complicate the gospel
the gospel is all about love. It's good news.
It's about being in love with God
and loving the one in front of you.
Keep it simple. He's beautiful.
The best example of this happened at midnight
on the one year anniversary of when I began this crazy journey.
I was with my friend, Jason Westerfield
and we were heading home,
when a homeless man approached us.
He was a stereotype.
He smelled,
wouldn't look us in the eye, he had a limp
and he was asking for money.
Jason told him he'd give him some money,
but first he wanted to give him something better.
So first, he prayed for the man's back
which he had been complaining about.
Then, he prayed for his leg.
And I just sat there and stared at this man.
He had no one. Owned nothing.
Was a homeless bum, living on the streets.
What was happening to him right now?
What was God going to do to show him He loved this man?
And that's when I knew
beyond a shadow of a doubt, this man was going to be healed.
Not through anything Jason was doing.
or Heidi...
or Dennis...
or Bill...
or whoever.
But through the love that God had for this man.
He wasn't homeless. He was a prince.
He wasn't broken. He was made whole.
Feels better?
Feels much better
Feels so much better.
Feels much better? How you doing?
Good
This is William, look at you, do you feel lighter?
Yeah
All the weights have gone, and God healed you right there
and God's healed your neck and back
You look better. Your face looks normal now.
Yeah, thank you very much
God does work miracles.
He loves you, God set you up tonight to be right here.
You thought you were coming for silver and gold, some money
But the Lord said "Hey,
I got something better for you" He'll give you that,
but He wanted to bless you tonight.
You're His son, He loves you.
I appreciate everything.
God bless you, have a good meal okay?
And as he walked away from us no longer limping
but almost strutting
So happy that he forgot to get the money he'd approached us for
For the first time I understood the point of it all.
Why He puts His fingerprint on our lives
It's proof that He's here.
Proof that he cares.
People that watch our television show
and have chronic pains and the pains disappear,
and heart conditions, and everything you can imagine.
So we have interactive television
And as a matter of fact,
do you want this video to be interactive?
I'll pray for people right now. And they'll be healed.
Ok, I can tell you I see someone right now that has a headache.
and that headache, it may seem like a little thing
but if you've had a headache, it's not a little thing
That headache is gone in Jesus name, that migraine is stopped.
And there's someone else whose spine
if you will just get out of your chair
and just start walking and bend over
in Jesus name,
the pain is totally gone and your spine is normal.
Backs are being healed and necks just move your head, you'll see
The pain, the clicking, it's gone in Jesus name.
In fact, the presence of God is so strong right now
in the name of Jesus,
I'll use his Hebrew name, In the name of Yeshua
In the name of Yeshua
be healed.
Now do something you could not do before.
Now you either caught
a miracle, which is an instant healing.
Or a healing, which is a gradual miracle.
And you can only lose if you give up.
Don't give up.
He doesn't control you,
like you're a puppet on the end of the strings
He gives you a relationship.
That's His masterpiece.
